^  Look forward to it and the DIY IE800 impressions. Feel the same about the S3; as if they blended the R3 sound in with the S series sound :)

I like the Yinjw's quite a bit actually.

I really like Brainwavz and would love for them to come up with that five star performer that really makes a statement. The S3's are atleast a step in the right direction imo.

Today's catch:

A brand spanking new pair of my all-time favorite closed cans the Takstar Pro80's pimped wuth Brainwavz HM5 angled velour pads
smily_headphones1.gif

My old pair was literally worn to pieces over three years so the rumors about the Pro80's being discontinued made me pull the trigger on a new pair.

Pro 80s being discountinued???? Jeez maybe I should grab a pair before its too late. How do you like the angled pads?

Unfortunately that's what the rumors says. They've been removed from their website.

The angled velour pads are probably the most comfortable pads I've ever come across. The Pro80's with these pads sound great and are uber comfortable

I do like the angled pleather on my hp150. Took a bit to get my head broken in for the weird fit, but its all good now. Maybe I'll grab a pair of the velour ones for my Grados too - would've tried the pleathers, but the standard pleather made the Grados too bright treble-wise.
