HD-565 (everything I've read, its the same drivers as the 580, or at least very close, as they are said to sound very close to the 580, just slightly less refined (generally the same way 580's are compared to 600's))


and I call rumour on this as well, first of all, CSRs are generally not briefed on new product relases that are still under some form of trade-secret/NDA magic, and second of all if they are spreading hype, its probably not some hd 650 replacement, the last few things they've hyped up over have been hd 280 replacements, iems, wireless 'phones, active noise cancelling, etc

Supposedly the leaked photo of the HD800.
The article claims hd800 will be available in 3 variants. HD800 BLACK、HD800 SILVER at 1200 euros and HD800 AMPLIFIER SET at 2700 euros. Both articles did mention the release date to be 2nd half 2008 though.

I must say that I really like the new look of both ED8 and supposed HD800. A bit minimalistic-futuristic-clean approach.

HD800 - ED8 - FPR-V1 would look really good together at my desk

That might not be what the actual hd800 looks like and that is if the hd800 comes out at all.

Most people have been asking for a higher end sennheiser headphone here.
I certainly hope that the final hd800 wont be like the thing in that picture, it looks like its not using the hd650 cable connector and the hd650 certainly looks more classy but of course looks doesn't matter if the thing sounds good

I still don't think it looks right at all! Remind me of some "sony" headphones we all know (and mostly don't like) I prefer something like a new "super" HD650 than a brand new thing.
