About a source not being able to power headphones, what determines this? The impedance? Frequency range? Sensitivity?
A500s:
-Frequency Range: 5-30,000Hz
-Impedance: 64
-Sensitivity: 100dB
The sources I'm considering getting are the following:
iRiver iFP-795:
-Frequency Range: 20-20,000Hz
-Impedance: 32
-Sensitivity: 107dB
Apple iPod Mini
-Frequency Range: 20-20,000Hz
-Impedance: 32
-Sensitivity: 100dB? (Can someone find out for me?)
Creative Zen Micro
-Frequency Range: 20-20,000Hz
-Impedance: 32
-Sensitivity: 98dB
Creative Zen Xtra
-Frequency Rance: 20-20,000Hz
-Impedance: 32
-Sensitivity: 111dB
So, based on the above, which would be the best choice for the best sound quality for the A500s? I noticed that all of them had half of the A500's impedance, is this bad? What mp3 player has 64 impedance? What about the frequency range of all these sources? They seem to have the frequency range of you're everyday $8 headphones, how would the A500s handle this low frequency range?
