Some reason my m6 pro volume is so tiny all of sudden. With the fiio x1
Out of both ear pieces? Have you tried listening to them from a different device to compare? Used a different headphone/iem with the x1 to see if it has the same problem?

found out it was the cable ( the mic one)

Ah I see. You might contact meelec about it.
If what I think is true, you don't need to -- the mic cable has a volume control that is completely independent of the source volume. Even with teh source at max, you can turn down the volume with its universal slider.
That might be why everyone thinks the mic cable is broken or is actually broken. Interesting, didn't know it was independent of the source. I haven't used my mic cable because I tend to find the mic annoying.

What's a source? Is that a amp?
+1 I haven't used the headset cable yet... had no idea it had a volume slider lol!
