Since you mention it here, could you explain the Convolver, what it does and how to use it? Thanks.

Technically speaking it can apply almost any sound effect under the sun that you specify in its impulse response file (and this DRX10K plugin covers a lot of what it can't do). It's better to start by asking what effect you're after, and I can see if it's covered and how you can go about realizing it?

Some possibilities:
+headphone EQ (or any EQ)
+headphone virtualization--simulation of loudspeaker room environments
+loudspeaker room correction (where your player is actually connected to loudspeakers not headphones)
+per channel EQ
+crossfeed
+crossfeed cancellation (for loudspeakers)
+ambiophonics (for loudspeakers)

Thanks Joe, I'd never even heard the word before so I'm starting from scratch. I do use EQ so if it can help with that, how would I do it?

(I'm guessing I'm not alone in being clueless about this particular topic so a clear explanation would be helpful if you don't mind, either that or point me in the direction of a description aimed at dummies if you know of one.)

It's more of a dedicated 3-band dynamics control with emphasis on the quality of dynamics expansion (compression is easy to do...). That said, the desirable effects of expansion with the plugin are usually found in the bass, less usually the treble, and less usually the mids so my advice is to experiment with them in that order, and apply less change to the mids than to the treble than to the bass.

When using this plug in on very high rez, I am hearing clicks occasionally on 176khz and more frequently on 192khz. It on my RS8 all settings on zero (including gain) except bass +0.1.

hi, not using any other plugins. Using Apple Music but downloaded music. Class A Turbo, med gain, mseb is off. Also happens using Hiby music.

I have the R6proII which shares the same platform and don't replicate the issue, so it may be a configuration issue of the RS8 that may be fixed in an update. In any case we are examining the issue.

It should well be, you can verify by tapping it open and adjusting the Gain which shall act like a volume slider when the plugin is active.
