It's so people won't buy it until they're ready to ship.
Concerning the playing songs in random order bug...I know they should be fixing this so it probably won't be an issue anymore, but out of curiosity I've been wondering. If I understand correctly, it fails to read the track numbers from the tags, but could the "random" order possibly have anything to do with the actual file names? Or is it truly random every time?
When you choose an album, hold down on it for a moment and a menu comes up. Hit play on that menu and the entire album will play in the correct order.
It seems it would jump to completely different albums. So it could be reading from tags but the songs are all listed in one directory when this occurs. Basically playing from a list with all the songs listed instead of the selected playlist.
When one opens, for instance, a Playlist or Album menu, then taps a particular song to play, it will then depart from the selected menu item, but if one presses and holds the item until the context menu appears instead of tapping a song, this behavior will not happen. I don't think it is really a bug, but rather a lack of clarity on how the UI menu system was designed to function.
iBasso really should include a brief manual describing the proper use of the UI in the next production round. Perhaps they felt that the original 40 users should try to figure it out by trial and error, then use the resulting feedback to determine what they should do in the update to make the menus more intuitive.
probably been answered already, but i don't feel like searching
- is the battery user replacable?
- battery life with lossless? i've seen both 7 and 10 being thrown out. which is it?
- how much longer until its released?
