I'm like many here that were waiting for the Mahogany TH-X00's to ship in May but I'm glad they announced this so I could cancel and get these. The people hearts look drop dead gorgeous.

Are you going to use them at the beach? The only measure I can think of is using some UV inhibitor in the clear coat finish.
 
But again, how much real UV exposure is it going to get? These headphones are clearly not for outside.

I don't think there is any way to prevent Purpleheart wood from eventually turning brown.
