I've read a little about them. They don't have good isolation, and are in the same league as the ath m50, which is a tier below ws99, m100, mdr 1r, momentum. UE6000, dt770, etc.

Ok so all of that said your favorite for isolation portability and the capability to make dustirtion on guitars is the Sony?

Lol. Ws99 is my favorite, and I like the fidelio l1 and 1r. I'd say ws99 and fidelio l1 have slightly better instrument separation, but the MDR 1r has nice mids. They are all great cans, but the ws99 is my preferred.

About the amperior, I don't have them but I have researched them. Dale thorn said that he prefers the fidelio l1 to them and esw9a. L1s have a wider and deeper soundstage, more clarity, slightly less bass. I prefer the ws99 though. Those l1s don't isolate well.

I heard that there are vents on the top. Does this effect the outside sound it blocks? Also do the cables have pause play capabilities as well as volume control?

They do have volume control and pause/pay, but it's only compatible with iOS devices. The isolation is fine. They don't leak, but the let some sound in. Not bad IMO.

Also is the noise leakage both out and in worse on the mdr 1r or ws99? (By the way you are probably starting to get annoyed with me and this thread, but I have narrowed it down to these two, and the prior question is the last one i have).

Ask all you want, I've got nothing to do. I'd say their equal. Ws99 leaks a tiny bit more though (very minimal).
