NAND storage bug

Yesterday I plugged the X5 in storage mode to my computer while downloading the spotify cache that I had just lost
now in android my internal memory is divided in two, internal storage, and NAND flash
factory reset didn't fix the issue

That's perfectly normal! One is for the system and the other is for user data.

Heart palpitating Panic Attack!
Last night I turned on my X5 3 in Pure Music Mode, and Holy crap!! - My music sounded shrill??!! Really bad –highs were EXTREME, especially in the left channel.
 
I keep the x5 set to EQ Off – Viper Effect is in my list of icons, but I haven’t used or even installed it.
 
I went and rechecked “Balance” as 0.
Rechecked all the volume settings.
Went to the EQ and did a “on-off on-off on-OFF”
Rebooted the X5.
Problem disappeared.
Geez!!
 
I think the hardware on my X5 is stable – The software, that’s the big, big problem!
 
Fiio..  “Deeply Customized Android” my ass. Fix it!!

Does it happen into one certain song , or it happens to all the songs  ? if you do not mind , could you kindly send us one or two your tracks via PM ,and we can test it at our end, thanks for your kind help.

  Is anyone else experiencing a bug where sometimes when you hit the pause button, whether it's the physical pause key or from the screen, it restarts the song again? I am not able to replicate it every time, but it does seem to happen once the player doesn't play for a while.  I hope this is a known issue.

  Spotify bug again
 
yesterday I had to reset my wifi router's configuration
When I connected back to the wifi, spotify asked for login
all my offline cache was gone

 
I'm not sure that is related to the Fiio device. I already had the worry with an andoïd tablet.
I think Spotify put an ID to your device, and when you change something to your configuration, the application put another one. So, it consider that it's a new installation and it reset some configuration like the cache path. But I did not have this problem often, some people here we already lost their spotify connexion

Hey Fiio, I'm curious if you have any fix for an issue I'm seeing with DLNA servers where 6 hours is regularly added to each track. I think it's based on system time, I'm in GMT-6 and changing the time zone affects the time played back:

  The fiio music app keeps crashing on me, first it was the songs skipping took too long now this! I really want to like the fiio X5 but all these software issue are really frustrating. The only thing that is keeping on the x5 is the sound quality, but I'm really close to going back to my modified ipod which is at least reliable. Hope fiio works out all the bugs

1. you could choose to agree on our User Experience Improvement Project. In this way, any failure information of X5 3rd gen would be automatically uploaded to our server and our engineers could read that info and analyze it as soon as they could (You could go to "FiiO Music Settings- About APP-User Experience Improvement Project" to turn it on if you didn't agree on the project at the beginning).

 

2. Go to internal storage of your X5 3rd gen (internal_sd\FiiOMusic\crash), and send this "crash" folder to support@fiio.net.

  Hi All
finally i bought X5 3rd
i have an issue but maybe i am not able to use fiio at the best (this is my first DAC)
i convert my cds with itunes in ALAC and make the association about image directly without downloading from itunes
i see cover album without problem
but when i download an album in  FLAC  i cannot use itunes, so move directly on microsd and i put in the folder the cover album in jpg format
but after the scan i cannot see the cover album only for FLAC format
any help to fix this my issue?

I heard a lot of people in Thailand has issues with Fiio firmware. Will you release factory image or provide us methods to modify ROM so I can help optimizing X5iii ROM?

I wasn't like that before, I think android "decided" to split my nand in two on its own to allow spotify download while the 3 volumes where mounted on my computer, and it looks like there is no way to reverse that :/

It never happened on my sony devices (Z1, Z5 and Z2 tablet) that followed my across the world on many wifi networks. In doubt I checked my spotify Z5 and I had an error message that I already had 3 devices synchronized and that all data had to be erased. I guess it had to do with the fact I factory reseted my X5 a couple of times.
 
Could the issue related that the spotify apk was downloaded from the FiiO market and not the google one? I don't know.

At the risk of looking stupid, I have a basic question. Does the glass screen protector come off, as I find the touch screen very unresponsive especially on certain screens like selecting & modifying the EQ options?

yes all my folders in FLAC are in this mode: only flac audio plus a cover in jpg format
