After listening almost exclusively with the ONYX over the past few weeks, I was convinced that I would fall back on my regular custom IEM rotation, as soon as I had finished the review.

Well, at least that's what the plan was, and I have honestly tried to stick to that plan at the start of this weekend. But it didn't took that long before I just had to reach for the ONYX again. Its holographic soundsignature is so awesome and addictive

Has anyone compared the Onyx to Penon or ISN IEMs? From reading the reviews there seems to be some common tuning or am I wrong?

That way (inside 3D view) it looks more like some kind of cool, robotic Star Wars attribute.
But hey, guess what? Even this guy (with ONYX in his ears) seems to like it

Btw, this 'old school' hip-hop track just passed by on my dap in 'shuffle mode', and it sounded nothing less than awesome



(...and also so much fun to see DV dance to that rhythm, when I pressed 'play' behind my pc later on. Just a hilarious combination imho)

Same here. Ever since I got the ONYX it has taken first choice for a month straight. My other IEMs are fully neglected, sadly!

Today I played everything from “Yello” to “The Devils of Loudun”. They do it all somehow?

Oh, they are in 2 different tiers entirly. The Serial is pleasent and warm and easy on the ears. Very mild. The Onyx is octane blast...see my review of it in my gear reviews.
