I can definitely help to organize something. Living in Boulder myself, but I have a car so I am mobile anywhere in the Denver metro area.

Someone needs to step up to the plan and lead the organization. I would, by I'm too far away.

I highly recommend a large single room in a Library, preferably on the south side of Denver :) There are really only two things to do to organize the event. 1) book a room. 2) tell this thread the date and location.

I'm happy to make a graphic for the home page, and once that goes up, people will know about the meet.

I suggest early August. Any later and it's too close to RMAF. It might be too late to get a room at this point, so I would start looking ASAP. We probably should have started in Feb.

I really don't mind leading the organization part of it, but am not sure if we should move forward with it without getting some confirmed attendees (about 6 or 7) before we move to that stage of planning.

As long as you don't need to spend money, or you can get a full refund, I would not worry about that. People will come once a date is set. Denver meets are pretty well attended.

As long as there is no clash of the date with other stuff I would be in.

Southern Denver is easy for me to drive but I don't know any possible locations we could use down there.

Anyone an idea?

Oops, looks like Aug 11-20 is out for me. Wife and I are taking a cruise (our first) in Alaska!

I contacted the Sam Gary Branch library in Denver. Here is the availability of the meeting room there in August -

August 6th - 12-5 (another meeting already booked for 8-12)
August 13th - 8-5
August 20th - 8-5
August 27th - 8-5

Their rate is $10 / hr. We were there at the meet before the last one, nice place, fairly centrally located in Denver. All dates above are Saturdays, Sundays they are only open 1-5, and I think that is too short.

Also looking into Boulder, as that could be free of any fees.

Chime in to let us know what dates would work for you!

I can check locations in Boulder if you want ... I live there so I also could help more with the preparation work

August dates would work for me except the 13/14th weekend

September is very bad for me ... end of July would also be a possibility

I'm not sure how many people we would lose from Denver if it were in Boulder.

Please answer the poll for dates.

Here is my equipment list. The ECP Audio Black Diamond is a pretty unique piece of gear with a unique sound signature to match. Takes the path of step up transformers for gain.

Will bring -

Amps - ECP Audio Black Diamond, Cavalli EHHA
Sources - Soekris R2R DAC, Twisted Pear Audio OPUS, Fiio X5
Headphones - Sennheiser HD800, HD-650, Hifiman HE-500 (modded with HE-400i headband), Audio Technica MSR-7, Alessandro MS-Pro, AKG K501, AKG Sextett

Probably will skip bringing in the ATH-ESW9, unless someone specifically requests it.

I would like to check if we have available locations first before answering any poll.
