Buy an E7 and use it as a pre amp. I do it every once in while with my D5Ks, just set the bass boost to 3 and it almost feels like a sub is in the room.

Idk what mid-bass is... I'm listening to dubstep right now but I'm not "feeling" the bass hit.

um.... you should definitely be "feeling" the bass of the D7000.

I listen to dub often with them and with some tracks I fear of getting a concussion.

Check "Jenova Project" by Datsik... if you don't have mad rumbling something is wrong.

I agree with all who've responded so far. If the D7k bass doesn't cut it for you... you are a hard-case serious basshead and need the wholop of the D5k (or similar).
Glad you realize the quality is there, but the impact doesn't do it for you. Ok, it's how you hear / feel things and couple that with your desires, maybe the D7k isn't for you. No crime there.

You guys are still misunderstanding me...

I was just saying that I expected to see major bass but I'm by no means a bass-head, I listen to many genres of music. Also I think I created a false memory in my mind. You see, I was thinking I would literally feel the cups vibrating. Not that I want that, just that's what I expected.

I love these headphones, they suit all my genres perfectly and I don't see one bit of midrange recession.

Actually I've had my cups rattle on my D2000's but never on my D7000's.  I also remembering the D2000's having more bass response than the D7000's too.

Good call you'd be correct!  I have so much junk hidden behind my monitors since they sit so close to me on my desk...case in point (see below).  Granted I had to do some reorganization since this last photo to fit that big amp/dac on my desk.  Didn't realize it'd be so freaking big...

NOsferatu, is that a box of kleenex i see behind the headphones on your desk?! hehe j/k beautiful headphone and amp...thanx for the pic. can't wait for my headphones to arrive!

Okay last photo I throw up in this thread for a bit...  I'm photo whoring up the thread.  Back to the D7000 love now!  :)

Weird. The D7000 definitely has more bass than the DT990... O_O

Maybe you want more boominess, which may make the D5000 more ideal for you.

Nothing weird about it....the best subwoofer representation on a headphone.
