too afraid to use TG-JL1, since it became a collector's item.
Then you can imagine my dismay when the driver on one of my two pairs of Sony MDR-E484 died a few weeks ago. I still have a pair that I managed to find BNIB on German Ebay for only €50. But I'm afraid that they will break as well. The E484 is considered to be Sony's best earbud and it has been discontinued for 20 years (sold between around 1988 and 1995). I still love my old vintage Aiwa and Sony earbuds, but now when I have found cheap and great sounding Chinse earbuds, I don't see any reason to take them outside of the house. I just use those old 25-30 year old Aiwa and Sony earbuds at home.
I received my pair of Tingo TC100 the other day. They sound really good. More detail and clarity than the Dasetn M1, and quite close to my old pair of Aiwa HP-V2 (released in 1983). Still I sort of prefer the Dasetn M1 with rock music. I disagree with the reviewer who wrote that the M1 has got a worse soundstage than Yuin PK2 & PK3. Perhaps the PK2 has got a taller and wider soundstage, but it seriously lacks in depth/3D feel. The Dasetn M1 has got good depth and instrument separation and layering and works great with rock music. I'll have to try to burn the Tingo TC100, because right now they sound a bit sharp in the highs, and work much better with acoustic music.
Still got a pair of Baldoor Earbell and another earbud (don't remember the name) on the way from Ali Express...
