@andykong Hi I just bought a secondhand N6.
If I would like to change the battery at some point in the next 1-2 years, can Cayin still support me?

hmm yeah talking about battery replacement. what is the process if i do need one..

Work in progress, I have raised the issue to the management and we are working out a plan to provide the service as requested.

Be reminded that the most likely outcome will require you to send your N6 to our factory in China, we replace the batter for you, and then send it back to you at your own cost (assuming the warranty ofyour N6 has expired by that time), This is because all flight service refused to carry uninstalled Lithium battery right now, and I don't think sending the battery to you by sea is a viable option.

Hey question is it possible to connect the Schitt asguard to the n6 and if so how???

Yes, you can do that. All you need is a 3.5mm to 2xRCA adapter cable to connect the line out from N6 to the RCA input of Schitt asguard.

https://www.amazon.com/Audioquest-Evergreen-Audio-Interconnect-4inches/dp/B005VQGQE2/

PS. I am not recommending you to buy the cable in the above link, I merely wanted to provide an example of the the type of products that you needed for the described application.

Nabilum

Thanks for the help
Finally cracked the system upgrade code with
Rar extractor Apple app

Downloaded a few hd files. 24/192 via HD Traks

Can you burn your dvd-a or sacd files to the N6?

If you can extract the DAD-A or SACD tracks into a file, you can play them in N6.

You need to google the procedures involved, there are loads of information (and options) available on Internet, but the process can be a bit complicated to newcomers.

A quick update to my friends and customers.

We'll have our national holiday from 1-7 October 2016, Cayin's production line, customer service and main office will resume service on 8 October 2016.

Cayin will attend the CanJam RMAF (7-9 October 2016), for those who will attend the RMAF, drop by and say Hi, I am delighted to meet friends and customers in person.

https://www.audiofest.net/attending/products/?keyword=N

I'll take a week off after the RMAF and visiting my friends in LA. Will back to office on 20 October 2016.

In other word, tomorrow will be the last minute packing up for the CanJam tour and I am behind schedule on that. That's why I have been very quite in the past few days at forum and slow in respond to PM, I am seriously falling behind consider I won't be in office for around three weeks. Once I finish my CanJam preparation, I should be able to show up more often. tongue.gif

If I have missed any important issue in past few days, I'll jump in again after I arrived at US. Please be rest assured all suggestions and questions in this thread will be read and considered, please pardon for the delay in this special situation.

I am confused

if I use the N6 with an OPPO HA2 my options are

A) forgo the OPPO amp entirely  and use the DAC in the N6

B)  analog out of the N6 to the OPPO - use OPPO C input setting and forgo it's dac

Is there a way to bypass the N6 dac send a digital signal and use the DAC in the OPPO??

which outputs and inputs are used for the various configurations?
I am using the 3 1/2 jack

thanks

Just buy a higher end dap seriously, cayin amp is strong enough to drive a certain number of headfones, and if the mojo is more detailed and hifi sounding than oppo then don't waste your money unless you really want that bass boost (i have no problem listening to n6 alone and prefer than stacking with mojo the sq improvement don't justify the stack).Save for QP1R,HM901S or the new sony NW WM1A.Really you're doing a futile exercise,i doubt you're going to notice an improvement in sound with oppo unless you prefer the sound tone.

There is no way to bypass the N6 DAC and send a digital signal and use the DAC in the Oppo HA-2.

If you want to bypass the N6 DAC, please use a DAC product that support Coaxial input, for example, Chord Mojo or Hugo.

For details regarding digital connectivity options of HA-2, you should consult your Oppo representative or consult current users in the HA-2 discussion thread. I can share my understanding based on published specification but because I am not familiar with Oppo product, so I might not be the right person to answer this question.

Base on the HA-2 specification, the Oppo HA-2 has the following input options:

Digital:
USB A for iPod / iPhone / iPad;
USB micro-B for smartphones with USB OTG feature and computers.

In other word, HA-2 can only work with source equipment that provided USB digital output. DAPs with Coaxial or optical output CANNOT communicate to HA-2 via digital connection.

in C mode the HA-2 can receive an analog signal out of the N6
The port to the left works, not the one to the right

thanks

Yes, line out from N6 to Analogue input of Opportunity HA2, this should work. If you have 3.5mm cable readily available, no harm trying it out, listen carefully to compare the sound if N6 with and without the HA2 and decided yourself whether it is worth carrying one more piece of gear around.

Sorry I don't have the schematic /Manual of HA2 with you, you have to check out the description of HA2 to confirm which connector is analogue input.

thank you so much for your comments

I use a 3.5 mm already, just a cheapo
sprung for a better one - in the mail as we speak

The N6 on it's own is cleaner, more spacious
The HA-2 can drive more clean at higher volumes
Oppo PH3's get more than enough power from the N6
THe Ha2 will drive Seinheisers HD600s more efficiently - set to high gain

both sound nice and kudos to the N6
I have  leapt up to HD 24/192 tracks as source material
rebuying key albums yet again  - too funny
