Lads and lasses, let's find companies that can make this a reality.

Shanling, xduoo and venturecraft are all Capable of it. They do OEM. Trick is software , that is the most costly part.

 
Actually, Hiby is the "all Capable" giant because they are behind the latest releases from FiiO, Cayin, Shanling, Questyle, Hidizs, Eros, and probably more - http://www.hiby.cd/hzhb/list_54.aspx , it's not just an app maker but they actually cover every aspect of hw, sw, and fw with their "cooperative partners".  As I mentioned in another thread, ever wonder why fiio/cayin/shanling/questyle firmware and interface has so much similarity

So, unless that was a company in the past whom Ken (@KB) approached already, I think it will be their best bet to bring ALO DAP to reality

I think it is better to call it Campfire Dap and will be name by nature names like RIVER like that..I like peacefull names..not like the other companies naming it too fierce but the sound is soso

I wonder if being repsonsible for the UIs of the mentioned DAP-makers would make them a good choice....

Good suggestion, might have to rethink about the word River in particular bcos AK players come from iRiver.
