Hi guys, just wondering what bluray players are you using?
Since I just picked up Sony 46XBR8, I want to add bluray player on my HT setup. Oppo BDP-83 seems to be one of the best player, however I can't justify the price tag knowing the bluray tech is not matured yet. Since I will buy ps3 eventually, I prefer to use ps3 for now and wait until the bluray tech matured a little bit before picking up the best bluray player.

I use a LG HD-DVD/Blu-ray combo drive in my PC. Not only do I save space, but this way I know that the software will always be updateable.

I usually stick to HD-DVD since they're dirt cheap on Ebay ($3-$5 shipped) and they're exactly the same quality as Blu-ray.

Fat PS3 here as well. Nothing beats the PS3 for blurays. The firmware is always up to date.

Fat PS3 (160G) here too.

I'm not a gamer, so not using as such. But BD quality is great, and DVD upscaling works really well.

I've seen some dedicated Blu-ray players and wasn't impressed much for the price, seem sort of grainy etc...

As I have my PC set up with XBMC for my music and to my TV it made sense to buy a bluray drive and "backup" the M2TS file and play it via XBMC (with a nice looking library with fan art etc). The output is great, no grainyness.

I use a fat PS3 (with upgraded 320GB HD) and an LG BD570. They're on different TVs in different rooms and I've been too lazy to swap them around for a decent side-by-side. Even though the PS3 is connected to a better TV, it's very clearly the better player, especially with DVD upscaling.

Fat PS3 here as well. Use it a LOT for Netflix, fair amount for Bluray and occasionally for some gaming. PQ is fantastic IMO and LPCM is great. Blew my socks off during the storm scene in "Benjamin Button"

3D will be implemented with the PS3 later as well.
