Audio Technica ATH-IM70: A Bold New Direction
Jan 24, 2014 at 4:41 PM Post #286 of 1,104
Any recommendations for tips that can be bought in-store or online? I don't have other IEMs to try switching tips with.

I've found that the UE900 silicon tips work best. I was using the MA750 tips on it, but that actually gave it more bass (it doesn't need anymore bass...lol).

I actually like the stock tips, but the only issue i'm having is that the left one doesn't stay inside, my ear keeps rejecting it, and it's only the left side. Might as well order me up a pair of those Sony Hybrid tips...

Does the samething for me, but both sides, no matter how deep I insert the headphones. I've tried using some triple-flange and they still fall out. :frowning2: They sound great, but I think I'm going to end up selling my pair.

RadioShack big bore tips work best for me. Sony tips are short btw.

Auvio tips are my favorite; they're the radioshack tips you're referring to. However, I've tried every size from xs to xl and only the smallest tips will fit comfortable in my ear, but still manages to allow the headphones to slide out. I think I might pick up some Sony Hybrids to see if that helps.

Anyone in the US looking for IM70's I have decided, after much anguish, to part with mine. Hit up the signature. I'll probably be spending time with my TH-7BB & Ol' Trusty VSD1 until I find a new IEM. I'm thinking the AX-35 looks nice.

Are those available to buy online? I think I found them here http://mobile.logitech.com/en-gb/promotions/6423 but they are £10!

Those are the tips. I think you can only buy legitimate ones from Logitech.

The AX-35 is $69 bucks as well(free shipping depending where you buy from as well). AX-35 vs. IM70 is a very intriguing potential comparison. Different takes on the dual driver set up.

The isolation is only avarage.
