So it's 4 pre-orders so far? = ) Well, it's obviously quite a gamble and not cheap either...

I'm tempted to get one of these W3000 soon and my wallet is ready... However I guess I will hold on until AT officially releases their anniversary product in the US and then snap a pair.

Aahh nice.  I love the finished of the earcups.  The W3000ANV really remind me of the W2002 that I used to have.  Maybe I need the W3000ANV to keep my L3000 company.

This is an impression from Japan, in Japanese:

So ATH said that this isn't a flagship but only an anniversary model...does that mean a flagship is coming soon? o.o

That doesn't mean it's not better than ATH-W5000 though. =D Does the article have any comparison? At least it looks way better. xD

have tried to translate that article into english, well, an awful translate actually, the info that I get is only that W3000 has better (also bigger I guess) bass than W5000 and W2002

"compare to W2002 which is the 40th anniversary, looks like ATH has develop some new technologies for W3000 to perform better"

That bit of information sounds good at least, if it's accurate. =D

Very cool. From the translation, it's better than the W2002... More resolution, better quantity and quality bass, and less nasal midrange. Resolution is lower and is less versatile than the W5000, but it's more fun and has better bass response. Not much focus on the treble region in the impressions though. I'm guessing the treble is recessed but it doesn't change my position. I look forward to my pair.
