Anyone know how my music can show up in the 'songs' 'albums' 'artists' 'genres' in the home menu?

All my music just shows up in the 'folders' part

Go to settings and allow media scanning

It definitely works. Some sd's will need to be formatted first though

Yes.  I have used SanDisk Ultra with no issues.  I always format them in the AK Jr prior to using.

Anyone got any problems with battery life? it feels like the stand by function or sleep function doesn't work for me. It drains the battery as if it was on continuous usage. Haven't downloaded the V1.03 of the firmware yet tho

Hey guys, I've recently changed laptop from Mac to Windows and when I connect my Jr to my new windows computer it won't recognise it. Any tips? I can't download new firmware as I can't see the AK on my computer at all, seems like it just never connects. Thanks!

On windows you need a driver. It can found and downloaded from AK web site. Mac doesn't need a driver.

I think I lost the cable that came with the jr. Can I use a generic one?
