Greetings! Does anyone have experience using sp3k with tube portable amplifiers? and which ones?

Only limited experience because it just arrived yesterday but I’m running the iBasso PB5 now with and without the SP3000. I also added the iBasso D16 DAC/AMP.

The PB5 is one hell of a tube amp because it brings tremendous power so you can also drive demanding headphones with it plus it has this special sauce from the tubes. All in all subtle changes (better bass control, better separation, more visceral tones, larger soundstage), definitely not day&night but they sum up quite nicely to a welcome change and in some cases improvement to the sound. Like always, synergy is key. I don’t like it too much with the Annihilator for example, although it can also bring that special flavor for certain types of music.

It is great with my IEMs for a different experience and it is especially great for my full size headphones. HD800s, wich I love from my SP3000, is even better with the added tubes and power of the PB5. Perfect synergy!

The idea is Sony WM1ZM2, but it is very complicated (and expensive for customs duties) to get an import one, to avoid the EU version .

I see. I once contemplated adding the ZM2 but decided against it. But there are some eBay sellers from Japan with great feedback from international buyers. I would have bought from one of them.

I decided against it because I saw no advantage over the SP3000. The Sony has less power, even the Japanese version, and people complain about a laggy UI and I cannot stand that. Other than that It’s equally heavy but it does look very nice (and so does the SP3000).

Cool, I wasn't sure with the Android resampling issue in Roon Arc.

Definitely sounds like a Bluetooth bandwidth limitation issue as you are not having the issue when connected via wired. Could you provide some additional info such as what codec you are using and what Bluetooth products? You can PM me if you prefer.

After further investigation, the bluetooth problem only happened with AptXHD, tried all codec sbc,aac,aptx no problem at all.
Hence I don't think this is related with bandwidth issue, hopefully the team can have workaround this issue and fix within the next FW update. Finger crossed.

According to the User Manual AptXHD is a supported codec. Let’s see what Jason comes back with.

Internally, noticed this same issue this week, only affecting the SP3000 and SP3000T. If you were logged in before this week, it should still be logged in.

We are discussing with the Roon team and hope to have an update before the end of the week.

I made the mistake of deleting to see if 1.0.49 would work. Thanks for your help and please let us know once you hear more!

It is also affecting older versions unfortunately, so if you already logged out or deleted an older version, you will not be able to install the older version and log in.

Confirmed there is no issue with any version of Roon Arc on SR35, SE300 or KANN Ultra. It seems random as I had no issues logging in last week when I installed v 1.48 and then 1.49 on both the SP3000 and SP3000T.

That's surprising because I've always had an issue with the separate login page not loading on newer versions.

I would love if Roon could fix these issues especially now that they've been acquired by Harmon. It seems like they are making an effort to fix a lot of bugs within their system.

Just got my new SP3000 Black yesterday. It's replacing my SP2000Cu. Will be using it with my InEar PMXs until I have saved the money for Odin or Phönix, which I have yet to decide. (Heard them both yesterday at Headphone Auditions Amsterdam and want both but finances force a choice).
I find the sound more detailed and with slightly better flow compared with the SP2000Cu. With higher spec IEMs the difference is more noticeable.
The new UI is good. The green case I might replace. I stream mostly so have no SD card issues.
I use the downloaded Tidal app and happy with that, though I have Qobuz too.
Looking forward to better sound after 100 hours burn in.
The DAP definitely sound better after 30 minutes warm up.
