Folks, it's an AUCTION. No use talking about the price it's currently at since it will only sell to the highest bidder. Saying things like "That's quite a bargain at $305" or whatever is silly. We do not know what it will go for until the auction CLOSES, this is how AUCTIONS work.

You're exactly right. So if it sells for less then $800 people shouldn't be so butt hurt about it.

Who's butt hurt about it?  Did I miss something?

To anyone who has never used eBay before, the price will skyrocket in the last 5 minutes.  Discussing the price anytime before the close is pointless, as was pointed out earlier.  Anyone looking for a good deal should download a sniping tool or hire a sniping service to put in a bid with 5 seconds left and cross your fingers.

The new run is going to be $799 anyway.

Just pointing out, the new/last run already came and went. I hope Cavalli comes out with something near this price point, but the Carbon is discontinued and probably going to become a collectable due to it being a turning point for the company. So long as attention for Cavalli goes up and up (IMO pretty safe bet with Warren as CEO), the Carbon's value will hold and perhaps increase, because it's special/limited.

The People who are worried that the thing would sell for anything less then they paid for it.... And yes it will sky rocket at the end. But if it sells for $500 then owe well. It's nice that someone could get it for that price. It doesn't mean that since you paid $600-$800 (whatever....) it makes your unit less valuable to you.
