Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Yeah, generally that's the case. I just bought a bunch of new stuff all at once and she is back in school getting a Masters so we're trying to be more considerate of spending. It's all good! Super pumped to try the Nova and offer my impressions eventually. I'll be in Portland this summer for a few days so maybe the guys will let me try the other models and see what I have to look forward to.

Good luck to your wife and her pursuit of her Masters! Tell her I said to study hard when it counts the most (thesis, competencies or equivalent).

Headphones ain't worth lying to her for. I appreciate all the suggestions though =)

Like our wives don't fib to us.

"This bag/pair of shoes/etc. didn't cost TOO much..."

"Sure..."

Just messing with you/playing around.

That's why I agree with what she says, hence me saying to her: "Sure..". No wars over here, my man.

Shoot, ain't nobody got time for that!

Well, I lost the the discussion with the wife, but I still feel like I won. Nova ordered! Andromeda someday =)

It's funny how the hype train got the best of me this time. I wasn't considering any other IEM's in that price range until all of you started singing. I'm hoping that the 2 balanced armature design can impress like the savant but better!

Congratulations!!! I sold my Wizard Savants to help fund my Andromeda purchase. I must say that the Nova boasts better materials overall. Yes my Savants had Amboyna Wood faceplates but the rest is, well plastic(acrylic). Whereas the Novas are solid aluminum with gorgeous Litz cables.
My wifey just completed her Doctorate so I'm glad I was able to get in on this purchase. Pretty soon its gonna be time to start paying student loans and such so it will be extremely difficult to win gals approval. Such are the challenges of our hobby:wink:

Does Andromeda comes with balanced cable ? And does anyone get the problem with the edge of the campfire iem ? Is it comfortable for a long time

Ken has stated that it will NOT come with a balanced cable, although the new 3.5mm cable is a better quality than previous CA IEM's. Also, seeing as it has not been released I don't think I would trust anyone saying whether or not it is comfortable for long term use - best to wait until it's officially released for that kind of info.

The Andromeda was at the Tokyo show.
I was lucky to have briefly listened to a pair.

My impressions are short and possibly not wholly accurate due to my short time listening to the Andromeda.

The sound is fuller, than the Jupiter, or it could be the lush mids coming through.
Housing is the same as the other models.

My Jupiter is smooth, articulate and airy. A nice low end and highs.

The Andromeda seems to pack more power, it seems flatter in areference sense, same low and high ends but it has more in the middle. Not warm either.
Clear, clarity, detail, also articulate.
Of course instrument separation, width, height, speed, layering etc are wonderful.

Each model it seems has its own personal signature and it is recommended to sample each model or read the various reviews about to see which model suits their preferences.

How's the sibilance compared to the Jupiter?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I submit to you the Tokyo show at the ALO and Campfire Audio table 9 hours compressed into 2 min. The show was very busy this year.

It's a shame the camera missed the naked guy that ran through, tipped over the Mixwave stall, and was dragged out by two obviously hired toughs. But wow, so busy.

What in the world? Seriously?  Did he think it was a soccer match or something. Who streaks a headphone expo, lol
