The A73 are right down my ally in terms of sound signature. I've only had them for a day and have already fallen in love with them.

I recently got the Titan's & finding they are not for me however hard I try to adjust to them.
The fitting and the the open vented airy sound are it's best quality but not enough to over come it's 'shoutyness' especially at higher volumes.

I prefer warmer sparkly highs to over detailed dry highs that are tiring to me.

I'm intrigued to try the A73 as it seems to have deeper bass and better separation that could lend well to Trance/EDM genre. At the same time I'm concerned it may be too similar to Titans in its highs & mid highs.

A more detailed comparison between the two in this area would be appreciated so I don't make the same mistake twice.

For me eph100 are still the king of trance with there amazing side to side 3d stereo separation, good bass although not detailed and sparkly highs that are silky and easy on the ears. Surely there must be an iem by now that I feel can replace them.

I'm intrigued because of their FS triple hybrids A83 sound (from reviews) and thought of giving it a shot before my FLC8, but the lack of assortment of eartips & a non-detachable cable version in this price range, and finally no standard cable choice but an "ONLY MIC" version is making me to wait for now......

As far as upper mids and treble is concerned, the A73 is extended and crisp but not as bright as the Titan.

I notice it especially with things like cymbal crashes, as they are pretty mellow yet still resolving with the A73 and more forward and borderline harsh with the Titan. I also notice it with the pronunciation of the letter s. It's just a touch more refined.

Don't take just my word for it though. Let DJScope A-B them and chime in.

Thanks for input Hisoundfi

Encouraging opinion. And how about stereo separation ?

I'm after what the eph100 does so well with side to sound stereo. The UM3X is said to excell at this.

Let me try to describe the sound separation I'm hoping for ..

In particular when listening to Trance music you often have engineered tracks where instrument sound shifts fast between left and right channels.

The eph100 coveys this really well. You can hear the sound just in that one channel where it's meant to be coming from before flipping to other channel. The sound stays distinctively in that side. 3D stereo. Great for inducing the intended foot tapping emotions.

What I have found with other phones including TF10, ie8, ASG, Titan, Tenore and EX1000 the sound is comparatively some what fused and not distinctively coming from the one intended direction/channel. You will be able to tell which sides it's coming from but will be little fused so that the sound seems likes it's also coming from other directions as well. I hope this makes sense as I don't have any audiophile vocabulary.

I look forward to opinion from DJScope
