Yup, back to the regular price now.  Bet they cancel the orders.  That's a huge loss to take on a few dozen orders.

I would have jumped all over that, too. :) I hope it works out for you all.

I used to have a X3. Gave it to my father 2 months ago. Then I noticed this thread; got very excited about this new product from Fiio.
Finally received my new generation X5 yesterday from Micca store. I have to say I am a little disappointed.

1. The size is huge for a portable player, much larger than X3.
2. It is not any more powerful than X3. It could not drive my 50 Ω HD598 well. Definitely not enough power to drive a full size headphone like HD600 (I know, Fiio did not intend to design this player for full size headphones, but still.....).
3. The scroll wheel is very loose. Could be a good thing if it is durable.
4. The manufacturing is OK, but not as good as I expected based on the impression I got from the beautiful photos posted in this thread.
5. The coaxial adapter is special, which means you can only find it from Fiio for now, if you ever need a replacement. I hate the combined LO/Coaxial design.

Well, at least, the sound quality is not disappointing when I pair it with DUNU DN-2000. I do not have my X3 anymore, so cannot say how it compare with the old unit. My feeling is that it is at least as good.
