(12/03 Updated) Introducing the world's first LEAR patented -NS(NatroSound) earphone technology!

My guess is that disabling NSS just turns off the opposite channel, so you just have a traditional setup with one speaker playing in each iem. That would explain why it's quieter and less bass.

I'm software developer of future Lear Music Platform. In the demo prototype of earphones (NSS in LUF Shell). In demo Tatco tried to show how NSS works, it's not final sound quality , just showing diference. As i know Tatco working on optimal sound for U1, just can say that new tunned earphones sounds much better than in demo.

Apology, I must have read too much into it and mistook it for a sarcastic tone.

LOL, hey it's easy to read sentences differently.  Trust me, I would have been much more obvious if I was being sarcastic, just to make the most of the moment.  I'm fairly new at the headphone/iem stuff and don't know much about the science behind it, so I was actually genuinely impressed by his knowledge that he just casually threw out.  I can see how you could have seen that it was sarcastic.  Thanks for being courteous.

I saw that Lear had posted that the current prototype is about 80% of the final sound too.  Unfortunately I can't find it right now.  Anyway it's just a different way of saying it's not final.  If I have time I think I will hop over to their store in Mong Kok to check them out.

To be exact, we believe you have misinterpreted our message. Not sure if your first language is Chinese or English that caused such an issue in perceiving the information. We have stated clearly in both the text and the demo video, NSS earphones will be produced if HKD$500,000 is pledged. Moreover, the opening of the studio depends on whether the HKD$1 million goal is reached.

This is ONE fundraising with two objectives, one for the consumer market and one for the production. It is totally fine if you perceive this as "weird", but once again, please stop your false accusations.

First, I never tried to accuse you, it was a question. I think you are being quite sensitive, huh? (Not sure about your intention)

Next, I don't think any of your text has stated that the studio depends on whether 1 Million HKD is reached. (I have checked most of your texts and I DON'T see anything you mentioned)

Lastly, if you are funding for two separate lines, I think you better should call it TWO fundraising projects. This is because it will cause MISCONCEPTIONS for head-fiers who only wants to fund for the NSS technology headphones.

To head-fiers, I know I might have talked mostly about their "strategy" and what I want to do is to clarify the goal of this fundraising. I don't want any head-fier that only willing to fund the NSS project ends up also funding the production project. I think LEAR should really clarify this.

PS. As we can see, you never talk about the studio production project on head-fi and you are now saying this is a combined fundraising. I think you better let every head-fier knows about this.

I can't even figure out how to contribute to the project.  Their page on the bottom only allows you to leave contact info.

I do think it's simpler to just view this as earphones only, and the recording studio is like a perk that you get when you hit 1 million HKD.  And he's offering the studio for free for I suppose amateur/professional artists to use.

Yes, I personally don't think they are ready for this yet, at least their page isn't ready.

When we pay for something, I think we really need to understand what product/services are we paying for and again, they did mention about the studio and patents in their Chinese texts. That made me thought that they were doing two fundraising, consumer (earphones) and professional (studio). After I raised the question, they think I am making a false "accusation" (which I never did by the way) and they are telling us that this is a one project with two objectives or maybe three? coz of the patents stuff (does it mean that our money will go to all three of them or what?) IF they eventually hit 1 Million HKD, does it mean that head-fiers are automatically supporting the professional line? THIS IS REALLY CONFUSING.

Lastly, they seem to have everything unclear and I really wonder if this project will succeed... This really makes me resconsider whether I should contribute to this fundraising. I have been following FSD for years and I have been reading those chinese texts on their facebook page talking about fundraising and a possible closure.

^^ and where do the LHF series fit in? http://www.head-fi.org/t/745552/the-new-fit-concept-the-brand-new-lear-hybrid-fit-series/15#post_11257002

It was about to be introduced and seemed to me like a great addition to their product line, especially since Lear confirmed it is supposed to have the new NSS technology applied to the LHF's. Now it has been put on hold apparently awaiting the succes of this/these project(s).

So it gets clearer now. However, if I want to contribute to NSS project, do I automatically subscribe to the production project too? You seem to ignore my questions...

Here is how I see things

Should you choose to subscribe to the project you pay your money and in return you will receive a pair of earphones at considerable saving from rrp
Lear have chosen to announce that should they raise more funds than are required for the NSS project these funds will be applied to a studio production project
This is a generous gesture by Lear and not some sort of scam
Many companies use crowd funding in this modern world and some have great success raising far more than is required for the project
Usually these excess funds are applied to an upgrade to the CEO's next Mercedes
In this case the extra funds have been pledged to the development of new talent , a noble gesture worthy of praise

I congratulate Lear for this innovative new design and wish them every success
I for one will be on board as soon as the international link is up
