Have a listen to the Witcher 3 wild hunt OST. It comes with the game if you bought it. Both FLAC and mp3 versions. It's now my fave game OST - tied with halo . ☺

I've heard some of the music while looking at gameplay and I'll agree that it is indeed impressive. Halo just happens to be more to my liking and pairs just so incredibly well with the game. Also helps that I'm a huge Halo fan and have played every game (that isn't Halo Wars). So for me, the Halo soundtracks are still the best of video game music, but the stuff in the Witcher 3 is very good. Like I said earlier, the Assassin's Creed III and IV OSTs are pretty good and the Crysis 2 soundtrack was surprisingly good. It did a wonderful job of inspiring the feeling of championship and heroism sometimes, while instilling dread and desperation at other times; it was a very good mix and caught me by surprise.

My week with an Aune B1 Tour unit is alas at an end. Sent it off today. Listening to the havis now, I realize that the Havis do benefit form a tube amp of sorts. The B1 was by no means bassy as it was clear and neutral but for some reason, it made the Havi sound more full in the midrange with a hint of warmth.

I love the little thing and it hurt to pass it on to the next person! Wish I could try the havis with more amps to see how it scales. Feels a bit more sterile now out of my macbook. The amp took the dynamics up a few notches and the soundstage seemed more enveloping and solid. I am already missing it :frowning2:

If not for the battery life it would be really great choice.

Sorry for your loss

But now you know that an amp can/will make a difference with the Havi.

By the way, this would be a great post for the B1 thread... hint... hint...

Currently on my way to Glastonury festival and thought I'd take my Havi B3 Pro 2s instead of Pro 1s in case they get damaged and they balance has completely shifted. The left is normal but the right channel is so quiet now, is there an easy fix for this? :frowning2:

Got my JVC Spiral Dots from Japan yesterday. Haven't tried them yet but I expect them to be mostly a placebo. At the moment I'm using the memory foam tips that came with the Havi B3P1, but will see how it sounds with the Spirals.

I think of buying the havi as my all round iems, are they really so bad directly out of a phone (rooted with a bit of amp boosted)? And how do they sound of an idsd nano? I hope they aren't too loud out of the nano.
(Fidelio x2 at around 12-2 o'clock is my normally max listening volume.)

I personally believe that the wider bore of the Spiral Dots emphasizes the bass, which is commonly regarded as a weak point for the B3P1; however, using narrower tips—particularly SpinFits—really brings out details and capitalizes on the Havis' effortlessly airy sound. I don't regard tip rolling as placebo since I know that talking to someone through cupped hands or a PVC pipe will greatly distort my voice. That may be unscientific but it seems logical to me that bore size and material both greatly influence the movement of air, which is all music really is.

You're probably still fine. I ran mine out directly of my iPod Touch 5th gen and though I needed to have my volume at half or above when out and about, they sounded fine. A little better when you do actually have an amp, but still no slouch even without one.

Seeing as how the Havis are nearly as hard to drive as my AKG Q701, yeah, you should be fine.

Recived the havis today. I'm listening right now. I like the sound out of my idsd nano, only sometimes they lack a bit off bass.
I'm surprised how good they sound, and they are real hard to drive, they need more juice than the fidelio x2, but my phone with boosted internal amp can drive them (maybe not so good but "ok" for on the go, probably my next purchase is the xduoo x2 :D).
I'm curious how they will sound after burn.
