Philips Fidelio X2?!

Welp, it looks like my pads bleed ink too.  I had my X2 sit on a piece of paper for a couple of hours (did not press down on it) and here are the results.  The part of the paper touching the right ear cup is showing the same sort of stain as Sundown's.  Sorry for the poor potato pics.  My guess is that the oil from the memory foam is seeping through the pad and is taking some dye along with it.

Eagerly awaiting the arrival of our galactic illuminati overloads.

Thank you for trying it out for science. I knew it wasn't my ear pads alone. It just won't make sense. I'm wearing HD600's for now.

It's the X2's. I noticed them leaving little dark gray dots where they would rest on my wall with a hook a while back. Then last night when I set them down on that paper and woke up today I'm concerned for health reasons. Would this be a health issue for cancer reasons? I've used these headphones for a month straight for 8 hours a day, everyday and they still bleed on paper like crazy. I wonder what it's done to my body. Here comes my paranoia kicking in.

Say goodbye to your loved ones. I have just written my last will and testament.

A shot of the case while closed...

You know, in that picture the rug looks suspiciously like an alien's mouth. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I don't see too much of a point getting a case for the X2 though because you're mainly going to be using it at home.

Can you say the X2 soundstage can be competitive with AKG Q701 ????
Or much less ?

For me, no.  X2s are a bit too linear in comparison, but you can't have everything (well, not for $300 .  I still prefer the X2s in general, but the Q701s are great for pulling out tons of details and throwing them into a rather large stage.  But those Q701 mids (esp. upper) can get a little bright, to be sure, if you're sensitive to those frequencies.

These X2s are beyond comfortable! Like a cloud sitting on my head.

Is my Sound Blaster Zx sound card enough to drive these bad boys to their full potential? I've been looking into a dedicated DAC and AMP but not sure if it'll be worth the $ and desk real estate. What about the SB x7?
