The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

I'm thinking you are referring to CB... But didn't i introduce CB to you in the first place? Either way, I'm just glad I can contribute to the bass... I've got a pair of 40mm cans coming. Getting them by next week at the latest. Maybe a battle of the 40mm cans is in order? Or should we just stick to the big boys for bass battles? I was thinking kraken Vs... Dun da dun!... Logitech UE6000's. There's the 40mm can. Anyways, is a kraken VS UE6000 battle approved? Maybe the other 40mm's could join in on the carnage. Have the perfect sound dido's (does anyone even have a pair here?) and the beats pros, sennheiser HD 8 DJ, M-Audio Q40's, beats mixr, and whatever else 40mm cans there are.

Get at @NewWaveAudio
  and challenge him

The Kraken are serious Bass bombers.
You really want some of that??

Lol. Haven't watched that in ages. Think I'll grab me some

:D

Looks like it's popcorn season this month for sure.

So young Dubs is throwing down the gauntlet at the gates of the mighty Kraken?

Holy schiit!

UE6000 are a wild card for sure, but any 40mm has it's work cut out against the RK's for sure

*I'm gonna have to stop over using term "for sure" at the end of sentences, that's for sure.....*

Sounds like young Dubs is chasing down to take the Krakens title as king of the 40mm hill

NWA - you may have to get ready to Regulate....

"Bass like you're never heard"   .....................................that's not my typo

**waits**

That pocketlint review you linked had me hooked from the first sentence "If you're electronic music fan, then we think the Ultimate Ears 6000s might be right up your street" -

- wow, because I am an electronic music fan! How did pocketlint even know this already? It's like they're speaking to me directly!

They even claim the UE6K are "stupidly comfortable"

I'm sometimes comfortable stupidly! I mean, er...yeah

But seriously, these cans when first released were in the sub $300 region and are now under $100, so that's pretty good value for your monies I'd say, and they appear well built and nicely accessorised too - I can see why Dubs is going for them :)

And putting them up against the might of the Kraken has the makings of a cool showdown

the ue6000 dont come anywhere near the bass level of the kraken's the ue6000's for me are purely used for a gaming headset lol the have bass but it is not basshead and they distort quickly.

I wonder about Onkyo ES-HF300 for portable bass cans. I've heard they have very good bass.

They were like the Ultrasone 580 without the rough highs. Pretty decent. Great without amp. Add an amp and they lose their **** pretty quick. I have an ONKYO reciever that i love . ONKYO is a good brand but the headphone line is for use with ipods and stuff not amps.

I know, I was thinking of using them with mobile phone for music and PS Vita for portable gaming.

Good bass... not basshead worthy.

Oh definitely loose their stuff amped and this was without your extreme-bass settings!

That should work, they were definitely targeted for that and they are winners, very comfortable and good sounding overall. I liked them actually.

ebay Uk maybe.
In America some folks have got them off auction for around 10 dollars.

A 2nd market of sz owners has started harvesting them off the net.:D

Yeah, I turned up nothing after scouring eBay UK so in the end I've ordered a pair of 55's - the white ones so Im hoping white pads on the SZ2K is going to look pretty slick - I'll also give the 55's a bass/paper test too - Young Dubs already has a coin/bass test video but we need to keep the continuity of format going on here
