I'm going to be needing a balanced, RSA-terminated cable for these things and I'm not super handy with the soldering iron :D

Any suggestions ?

I fired him an email about it. He should be more than happy to personally solder me one... right?

I don't know if he'll be happy but if you're not "super handy" with your soldering skills, it's better to have someone who knows how his cables are wired to do it, isn't it?

Just a little comment on the connector failures a couple of folks had on the first batch of IEMs that went out. From what I gather there were a few bad cables in the first run with the plastic injection molding process. With any newly designed plastic injected mold there will always going to be a couple of bad seeds. No way around it. We have had our own issues with this in the past. Where as we hd to make adjustments to the molds to provide a better fit/feel. The plastic injection material has been changed to a harder solution and there should be no more issues.
Of course when doing high volume yields of hundreds/thousands of cables of this type there is bound to always be a lemon here or there. Jerry sent us a bunch of cables from the latest production run to reterminate to balanced for Astell & Kern to use with the new AK240 at CES. With one of the cables I tried my hardest to over torque and break a connector. It did not happen! I did this not only because of what I read earlier in this thread but because we are also going to go to a large expense to design a new cable for Moon Audio to use with the new connector. I am confident that the new connector is a fantastic solution. It solves connector failures/short outs by all the other connector options currently used in the market place. I have to give some serious kudos out to Jerry for coming out with this design. I wish all IEMs out there would use a similar connector.
JH has some of the best customer service out there and if your cable fails I have no doubt they will take care of you all. Not to worry:)

Sarcastic question: Did you also make a video suggesting that your customers (us) were trying to torque it with a pipe wrench? When in reality it was a material issue your company had?

Not sure about their customer services.  I've sent them an email asking about getting a cable from the new batch exactly a week ago.  They did not even bother to reply.  When the problem was first posted here and everybody started to talk about it, I got an answer in 3 minutes after I've sent them an email and they even copied Jerry himself on it.

To me, good Customer Services includes answering your customers questions about issues (even when there is nobody looking or talking about it).

All that don't change the fact that they have an amazing product

I made no videos on the topic. The videos I posted are not from me (Moon Audio), they are from JH Audio. I simply posted them as I found them while researching the topic.

My guess because of holidays and all the audio shows that JH is partaking in, that is the reason on the delay of the email. I would imagine they are a bit overwhelmed right now. Jerry if I remember right was in Southeast Asia last week. I am pretty sure they are going to NAMM show this week. etc etc. A phone call is always going to take less time to answer than email. Just saying...

Thanks Drew! Please let us know when/if you start selling the Roxanne cables.  I am very interested on a balanced cable (and an aftermarket one) for it ...

We have a lot of work to do so it will be a little while. As we have to totally recreate a cable for 8 conductors. This cable will possibly also replace our other cables for use with other connections like Shure/Westone/UE etc etc. So wont happen overnight. Sign up for our newsletter on the home page as we will post an anouncement there and in our Blog on the website.
