The ZX1 should power those 2 with no issues. I wouldn't add a FiiO product in the chain. My past experiences with FiiO LOD amps was less than stellar.

Fiio makes good mid segment stuff. Not quite the match with ZX1.

Does anyone know why 3rd party players seem to downsample everything to 44.1/16 when played through digital out?  I can tell this because I use the digital out to play through my Chord Hugo and the Hugo shows everything playing at 44.1/16 when using Onkyo HF and Poweramp.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I still did not found any information about: Does anybody have found a way to disassemlbe the ZX1 safely for e.g. battery exchange?

I looked too, didn't find anything.  If my battery dies, I'm taking it to a computer repair shop locally that specializes in iDevices, but told me they can replace batteries in Walkmans.

Because is how android implemented, i don't rmemebr why Goohgle did like so but i resamples everything to 44.1KHz /16.. those 3rd party apps must have options to tweak the output but really don't know

Thanks!  I ultimately found out that it is an Android issue and not a Sony issue.  The 3rd party apps do play everything at 44.1/16, so I really don't have to downsample my tracks, so I still get hi rez play when using the Sony player.  I was trying to find a player that performs Crossfade (not crossfeed) to remove the gaps between songs, but I guess it's not that big a deal.

Soon the Z5 will arrive, I wonder how far it be still behind the ZX1 soundwise if at all. I wonder why prices drop so heavily? All in all better to wait till the ZX2 drop to 600 Euro.

You will have to wait until the next life! are massive!
