Why is it that I am hearing hiss with my SE425s on low gain (vol. 180), but no hiss on medium or high gain (without music playing, of course!)?

Yes. Their cable is simply a piece of art unlike some other maker who tells you their cable is art :wink:

Heard they need to relaunch under a new name so I suspect some trademark infringement issues....

Beautiful cable.

I dealt with a very good and honest cable maker once and this guy creates some of the best looking cables similar to the one above, he even has a site where he displays his creations. Some people are truly serious about their craft. :)

Which portable setup would you guys prefer, the dx50--coax in-->d12, or dx50--line out-->jds lab c5?
