For those interested in the ws99, i have pair in excellent shape for $200 obo shipping included. i love them but invested $500 into sm64s...so they had to go

Yeah, I'd like to get one going. But the combination of me being pretty busy and rather slovenly is not helping much lol.

Hey didn't someone mention that ATH was gonna release these WS99s in the states soon??? I would wait a bit 7S for a US release of these to see how the pricing goes.

Amazon Japan has a listing for it for $250.  I got mine for around $200 shipped to me so it is still a better deal to get one from Tenso.

No i mean American retail shops will/ might carry these in the up coming months, since ATH will release it here in the US. Cuz that is what someone said earlier in this thread. I thought these go for like $160 on amazon jpn, but you have to factor in tenso S&H, etc into the final price so the total is ~ $200 as you said Ds.

 

But someone is selling them here at head-fi for $180 shipped, which is not bad for a good used set.

 

edit: but don't quote me on this cuz that is just what i remember someone saying earlier, so.........................................

I can live with the stock pads. Unlike the ES700 these don't need a pad change.

I dropped a post about this in the ES700 thread, but in hindsight it was misplaced: Does the WS99 qualify as circumaural (as opposed to the WS55 and ES700, which are on-ear)?
