I'll bring some wetwipes.
Also if people don't mind I'll be closing the poll in an hour or so.
i know how long a meet could get, so to stave off hunger, i will bring in a bunch of cheetos.
No cheetos... Cheese all over my stuff, nty
Are you sure about that...?
I wonder if regular cheetos..... Oh God let's not go there.
T5P... I've had bad experiences with them... They liked to make my ears bleed.
I also am down to pay money if we need it.
I'm selling off most of my stuff as well so all I can contribute is my HE-500 w/jergpads w/ 12-wire hybrid sinnet prototype, Wooaudio WA3+ with tesla rhodium E88CC & GEC CV 2523, Hifiman EF-5 w/ OPA627AP, and possibly my Frogbeats C5 if they come in time.
Hey guys. late to the game but I am in for a few bucks if there is some more needed.
On the equipment front, well. Today was a red letter day! I sold my LCD's and was thinking about the JVC's then today was passing commercial electronics and had a few minutes between appointments so thought I would pop in and see what they have.
Naturally first port of call is the headphones and there I spied a bargain so tried them out and fell in love with the sound! So I ended up walking out with them.. What are they you ask? Oh, I forgotThe Beyer Dynamic T5P's! On sale brand new, never used until I tried them today $899! Cheapest I could find on line was Amazon or Headroom and they wanted $1399 plus shipping and such so these are a real bargain. I can't wait for them to burn in, have them on repeat on my old itouch at the moment to get some hours on them.
So add that to my equipment list if you please and take the LCD's off!
Ears bleed? Crickey, I am finding them really smooth compared to my old LCD's nor grain or harshness.
aw shucks, I won't be able to make it for 5th of May.
kind of hi-jacking the thread here but what other stores except the one mentioned above.. Commercial electronics? and Headphonebar are there in Vancouver where one might find nice headphones?
thanks!
Commercial (very few, and not very recommended IMO for CS), HB, and two more. I can't remember the last two but one was supposed to bring something last meet?
Hi-Fi center. Not a fan of them. They sell mostly high-end home theater and they were very cocky on both the phone and msg exchanges saying how they will bring a $26,000 setup that will "bring tears to my eyes". After all the fuss about how they would love to support the local headphone community, they seemed to have forgotten about us (or lost interest seeing how it wasn't a MASSIVE meet to sponsor) and left without a word. They just seem like the kind of people who are purely economists and put community interactions below everything else.
