I laughed too hard at this

Someone made a video on the abuse of GPU's by miners that don't 'get' it

The other day, we had a new guy that wanted to build a computer to mine coins.

One of his first questions that got him really stumped was on why he can't use AMD _____ CPU with this Intel Motherboard he was going to buy...... Ahhh...those miners are the niche target of this video.

Ohh, is that for VoS?

Try bter or cryptsy.

Too late, I already exchanged Doge on there and have $15.7 in balance and already sent another $22 worth of Dogecoins(not exchanged yet) into the account.

Sell now or wait and hope it rises more?

What is with that doge picture popping up everything as of the past few months? I see it everyday on Steam, on facebook, I get tweets about a cosplay in doge on tweeter, I get messages and text from friends trolling as a doge, I browse on my phone and look at the latest entertainment newsfeed and I see some random video with that doge picture on youtube, is this becoming the next dolan duck sensation?

Also I find mining overrated. You want money? Go find work.

It's a meme.

It's not really 'money' but rather something fun to do.

We here ALL love computers, technology, and what not. Add that in with our general acception of meme's, like-minded communities, and money.

That is crypto-mining. Crypto-mining works for the enthusiast community because it attacks everything that we are made up of.

A full day's mining on one of if not the most profitable (per day) crypto currency (DogeCoin) yields only about $8 with about $350-$450 worth of GPU's not including power cost, or the other system costs, and the possibility of not being able to use the computer, lag, or playing games. This $8 includes a 24 hour period of leaving it on as well.

If you tell this to people. They will also be like.....What?

But its just what we do. It's fun, it's a hobby, it's a community' PLUS it makes us big kids. It throws us into the 'real' world with something that can make money and is fun.

I have mining set right now in that it slows down 'nothing' I do except for gaming. 1080p videos, multi tasking etc all work fine. Obviously, this is due to my 'stable' GPU settings. In that while the GPU may not play a huge deal into normal day operations, that if you overload it, it will lead to massive system lag and instability.

Anyway, I've got about $60 USD worth of DogeCoins after mining a week. Not bad.

Lol I do work but why not make an extra $30-50 a week when you don't pay for electricity.  I felt the same way back in like May when the doge meme started blowing up and when I started hearing random people at school using it (memes should stay on the internet)

No. Nothing will ever replace spooderman imo.

You know if you do break down the maths and invest in serious ASIC or GPU mining rigs (litecoin or dogecoin), electricity you know by the end of the year you would not break even with the expenses paid and the rig costs not to mention the depreciation value of GPU mining rigs every 3 months.

I did mining for a short amount of time back when Bitcoin's was big boy in town but I was losing money due to exhoribitantly high electricity rates in Australia than earning and breaking even.

If you want fun and contribute back to society, FOLD not Mine. The choice is yours take the blue pill, or take the red pill.

Do know? That isn't true by the way. Many 'real' rig miners break even, make profit, and even make enough to re-invest into larger rigs.
