Yeah I've read that. Also it's not a good idea to give it to young children. Something to do with a chemical that acts like a fake estrogen. Thus for the reason of drinking it in moderation. Especially for males.

But you see, there's even the opposite suggestion that soy is GOOD because it acts like a phytoestrogen (fake estrogen) and competes at estrogen / testosterone receptor sites against the other chemical xenoestrogens that are directly harmful -  and that we can't seem to avoid because we have literally permeated our entire food chain with them....

By the way, @warren, speaking of E3 - you might enjoy the opening of this video:

Yeah and I came across an article on the Internet that said eggs caused schizophrenia. Hell, I had a doctor tell me computer monitor radiation was the cause of my IBS.

So, uh, yeah... I'll wait until an actual well-designed study gets published in an accredited journal before I believe soy milk causes intersex conditions.  : <

Edit: And even then, it would probably only be able to show a correlation between the two and not causation.

Edit Edit: Of course, this could just be me being a moody female.

Rant:

I hate those ads so much. They make me angry every time they come on TV / in the cinema. Firstly, they seem to be one of those flaccid attempts to tap into the whole 'viral / disruptive marketing' thing by hoping that non-sequiturs are the magic formula for Facebook likes. The second thing is the attempt to tie chocolate milk into this image of male machismo without really being thoughtful or ironic about it. IT'S CHOCOLATE MILK. Yes, oak is very very rich but I don't think "Wow this chocolate milk is thick and flavoursome - LIKE A MAN" when I drink it. I'm especially annoyed with the insinuation in the second ad (the carnival one) that the narrator's son is a crossdresser because he failed to drink enough chocolate milk as a child. It's a facile and cheap laugh.

Next they will start to market the strawberry milk flavour to girls.

Compare it with the old spice commerical, which actually did go viral, and was actually smart about playing with this kind of thing:

What you need is this:-

Naw, you're just being rational.

There's all kinds of stuff floating around the Internet and elsewhere. I usually hit up Snopes.com when I come across anything that sounds suspiciously like hearsay, and all too often it's right there.

As far as correlation studies go, what you've posted is the first lesson any good teacher will give you. Unfortunately, a lot of people never get this lesson, and, when abused, correlation studies are a pretty powerful way of convincing people to do x or believe y.

Remember kids, 100% of all people who listen to headphones will DIE!

EDIT: Futzed the silly example the first time. Go me!

Not the first time a silly mistake of mine has been immortalized in a quotation. The perfectionist in me weeps.

I don't think he listens to headphones ....

I think it would be very difficult to create a proper seal, given his head is a bare skull. I suppose something like a K1000 might work, except lacking pinnae to affect a HRTF, he would probably find that every headphone would sound shockingly wrong.
