What made you decide?

And yes it's quite an improvement given it's just burn-in that did all the work. Amps + burn-in = must I guess.

I was decided a long time ago. When it first came out. Reading the impressions having it compared to a combination of LCD2, LA7000 and HE500. That sounds like a must own for me . Plus it excels at rock music, has silky-smooth treble, great bass and a spacious sound stage. That is my preferred sound signature. I hate rough treble. Just lacks articulation and is unrefined to my ears. Good at causing me a headache though :p.

I read the ES5 comparison. Good thing I went with the ES5 :xf_eek:

Lee, can you describe the sound of the 1P2 coming out of the Studio V versus DX100?

I prefer the DX100 with the Tralucents. Still sounds quite good on the Studio though. On the Studio V the sound is more energetic and in your face. It works quite well but can get fatiguing in long sessions. On the DX100 the sound is more open, more organic sounding. Still all the detail is there but not forcing itself on you. Just goes very well (flows). The Studios imaging is superb. Can be too much of a good thing on certain IEMs. Vocals are definitely more upfront on the Studio V. I think if the recording is also bad the Studio V will really make it sound like ****. While the DX100 will be more forgiving of the track regardless. I do use the Tralucents though with my Studio V while out and about as well. Basically I can listen at even lower volumes and get all the detail. I'm generally stuck around volume 5 and 7 max. Sometimes I'll go even lower. I've been down to volume 1 and wanted to go a bit lower . Going over 7 is getting too loud. I was shocked when someone told me they listen at volume 15 (same IEMs)....

Yes lol :p. Even on the Tralucents going much over 7 is getting a bit loud for me..... Now while out in public in noisy areas I may turn it up just slightly but I know it's dangerous if I go much higher....

Sensitivity difference among IEMs. Anyone wanna send me their Studio-V3 so I can give it a listen with the Traluscents? :D

lol not when the IEMs are the same .

Well I got to meet up with Saraguie today and we did some cross-comparisons. In the end he still preferred the Fit Go 334s and I preferred the Tralucents. The 334s nice though. IMO they sound better than the AKGs. Bass was surprisingly good on them and in good quantity. The mids were nice, accurate. The treble was also quite detailed, could be a bit hot up top but nothing I couldn't handle. Overall a somewhat neutral sound without being thin or boring. Saraguie does use Comply tips with them so not sure if that played a roll in things. I notice comply tips tend to muffle treble and increase bass presence, so not to my liking. The Miracles take the crown though for Saraguie out of them all.

If I had the money. Well I wouldn't want to pay $1,300 for them to be honest. If they brought it down to $1000.00 I'd say very possibly worth it. $1,300, just a bit too much for the return investment. Since Saraguie enjoys the Miracles more it would seem they would be a cheaper alternative and a better overall investment if it works out for you. The stock cable also leaves a lot to be desired for an IEM of its price-range. Just nothing special about it. Doesn't seem like its the most durable cable out there.

That's where I get annoyed with some companies. If a person is paying a 1000 plus bones for a pair of CIEM's there no reason the company can't provide a quality cable. When I see stuff like that I can't help but feel nickel and dimed.

GG you have a point about straining the amp while burning it in.... Seems the T1 is getting better now :p. The Volume pot now seems to have even better control of the sound than before. The sound has smoothed out some. Saraguie seemed to like the T1 as well. He liked the treble on it.

Yes, need a load for the amp to output the signal, otherwise, nothing happens. Sound has definitely smoothed, and mids are more prominent than before when it was very distant. Means, less mid bass creep perception since it's not overpowering the mids anymore.
