I use a velcro cable tie on each end.

Tough to say, probably the Sennheiser though - neither is a very bassy can though, and neither will be able to cleave your head off with bottom end impact. The Sennheiser probably don't fall over as much of a cliff as they go down low though. I should qualify that I'm basing this on the HD 595 and K701, not the HD 598 and Q701. :xf_eek:

Hmm...  I haven't heard the HD598, but the I had the PC360 which is basically a HD595 + mic.  The Q701 definitely has more bass than that.  I thought Mad Lust Envy said the PC360 had slightly more bass then the HD598 (being a little less open).

Thanks guys, im just going to get the Q701s for music, then find a different set for movies, seems to hard to find a set thats really good for both movies and music, im going to seperate the 2, music being first on my list.  I will try the Q701s for music, they sound like exactly what i want, then i will find movie cans later, thanks for all the input.  Now if i can just decide if i want black, or white on the Q701s, ohhh decisions.

Don't forget green. :p

You could be entirely right - it was years ago that I heard the HD 595. Just going on memory of them and at the time I remember them being fairly inoffensive and balanced; looking at graphs from HeadRoom shows the 598 sitting more or less on top of the 701. My guess is they're probably pretty close in reality. I feel pretty confident saying that neither of them is a basshead can. :xf_eek:

No!
Forget Green!
I mean, what were they thinking?
It looks, um, well let's just say "I don't prefer it!"

BTW, does anyone out there actually like the Green Q701s?

You would never misplace the green ones.  Its a toss up between the black and white ones for me.

Or maybe you would "misplace" the green ones because they are so ugly!

The white ones are glossy while the black ones are matte, if that helps you decide.

When I first saw them I thought they looked neat, but after about 2 minutes of looking at them I decided that I couldn't live with it. The green cable - that's fine. Even if they had green accents on a white or black can; that'd be fine. But the whole thing...yeah...
