My IEM Round-Up (64 Earphones Compared with a LOT MORE Coming)

The EQ-5 is like a barrel and the only IEM similar in shape is the Adagio V. The Adagio i find uncomfortable but this is fine! It is just thin enough to fit into your canal. The TF10 i found comfortable as well!

Well if you do go for the 262 let me know how you get on. I was once offered one for £50 and still kick myself i did not buy it :frowning2:

Read a couple of your reviews and very much enjoyed them, now patiently waiting on the review of the rock it R-50s. I'm also having problems with the link to the Etymotic HF5 review?

R-50 on sale, did you finish to test them? I'd like to know if the upgrade to 4Ai is worth it...

How do the triple fi 10s compare to the 4.Ais? Also have you tried the 3.Ai?

Unfortunately have bot heard the 3.Ai.

The TF10 only really does better in bass with better extension and more quantity while also having nice quality although not a fast or tight as the 4.Ai.

The mids are brough out a fair bit from TF10 to the Heir and also they are a lot more detailed clearer and have a more natural timbre.

TF10 have good highs but not quite as detailed and well textured as the 4.Ai, the TF10 are a bit metallic in comparison.

Soundstage has a lot more depth and better imagery on the Heir but is about the same width and depth.

The driver is a lot faster with the Heir and the overall sound is a lot clearer and more detailed, and never gets over whelmed.

The TF10 is a more fun v shaped experience but the Heir is the superior IEM. The Heir is more fun just because it is so true and detailed but does not have a fun signature like the TF10.

Hey Swimsonny,

Just wondering if you could do a quick comparison between the BA200 and the Heir 4.Ais. Heard that the BA200s are pretty similar to the UM3x/SM3 sound, so that might be an interesting comparison.

I can not do anything major seeing as i do not have the BA200 on hand but they have different signature. The BA200 has a lot less prominent highs and a more mid centric presentation. The imagery at the time of when i had the BA200s was better than anything i had heard and the Heir is the first to have beat that. The Heir has more bass impact but less quantity. The Heir is faster, more detailed, more complete and generally better!

Thanks Swimsonny for your quick comparison on the tf 10 and 4.Ai.

Was a Pleasure!

Weird, since I demo-ed the 4.A demo set and the mids seem to be much much more prominent than the BA200s. The BA200's mids even sounds recessed in comparison(even though not). But agree about the other stuff.

I like what I hear from this. I actually felt even the UM3x mids aren't that upfront, probably due to the smaller soundstage. The BA200 might be similar.

Okay i meant more vocal centric. Also the Heir is perfectly balanced so do not think that i mean that the Heir had recessed mids. I say that the BA200 is vocal centric because of how relaxed the treble is.

Glad you thought so.

The BA200 is meant to be very similar to the UM3x from what i have read. For the price ranges both are good but i think the Heir is a clear winner.
