Whenever I see even the slightest hint of complaints of delays, I like to point out the various headphones and other gadgets I pre-ordered, mostly when first announced: HD-800s, HF-2s, Symphones Magnums (plus 3 upgrades), LCD-2s, LCD-3s, Metrum Octave, Pico Slim and now the DX100. I think the total time (if taken back-to-back) I've spent waiting for these products amounts to something like 2 years

Hahahaha,, ever since I joint the Headfi over four years ago, I don't remember a day gone by without waiting for something. If it is not the Predator, it is the Mustang, or the Solo,Or the Pico Slim, or the Hd800, or the Lcd2. Hack, come to think of it, everything I own I have to wait for. There should be a warning when people sign up for this forum, besides their wallet, that says there is a parallel universe here and the time is about one year for every day on earth:)

Congratulations to you. This will bring you new meaning and depth to your life.....something headphones and an amp can't quite do. Ha!

Thank you so much and I love your new avatar. Well real life kept me busy, mostly traveling and work. I recently found out that I’m pregnant so I took a well-deserved vacation just to sort things over and plan ahead.

iBasso did not specify a carrier for the return, only instructions as to what to state on the customs form and to make sure it was well-packed. I sent mine via USPS International 1st Class mail.

International first class?  You'll be lucky if it gets there in 3 weeks, if at all.  And you can't track that method.  I used Express, which was $41.  I would expect that they'd expect us to use an EMS type method.

They said not to use DHL/Fedex/UPS but to use your country's postal service since there's less of a likelihood of customs issues.

From iBasso:
Hi,
Thank you for your email.
Your DX100 will be shipped around Mar 18~19th.( I paid for my unit on 18 Feb).
Yes, we did some change on hardware and software. The DX100 will have better sound quality, wifi signal, and support gapless and AIFF.
The battery life wont be changed.
The DX100 cant work as a standalone DAC.

Sincerely
iBasso Audio

Can't wait.
Will DX100 will sound way way better with the same FLAC song, then let's say Clip+ and W4?

I've compared the DX100 with the iPhone4 to drive mid grade IEMs and it sounds considerably nicer.  It's quite freaky to walk around while getting that good of sound.

I shipped mine back via Express on USPS. Not cheap but nothing is now unless you have a business account.

Ron, I have shipped first class but surprised you can with the weight as I think 13 ounces is the max but I guess the DX100 weighs less than that but the time can be 3 to 4 weeks. I will keep my fingers crossed that yours gets there much sooner.
