Have you seen Kino no Tabi? I think its a show that you may like.

Haha, you know me too well. Hm, finished Mushishi and Yama no Susume. Watched Kokoro Connect not too long ago. Saw The Tale of Princess Kaguya. Currently on Ronia the Robber's Daughter and NieA Under 7, both of which are amazing.

I thought it would be too, but I tried it a few months ago and couldn't really get into it.

I read that yesterday! (the orignal, translated to English).
Kind boring tbh. But w/e I got a literature report on that book due in a week. Feels like I'm back in high school again.

dayum. Kokoro Connect was from many many moons/seasons ago.

Have you read Oyasumi Punpun yet? Jgray, tom, rikkun and I all love it :)

As for anime, maybe Kill LA kill, or even Durarara may fit you

Ah, the book report. I can imagine that being boring to read actually. The beautiful animation and music definitely help.

I don't generally keep up with the times, I just watch anything that randomly catches my eye haha. I've been meaning to pick up where I left off with the green jacket Lupin III series years ago as well. It's been sitting on my hard drive for ages.

Still no manga for me.

Dunno. I'll have to take a look.

I just binged the second half of Shirobako season one. Easily the best anime I watched this past season. Thanks to those who recommended it... @kn19h7 methinks first? And maybe then a 2nd vote by @Tom Yum Goong
For some reason, I couldn't get past thinking in the last few episodes how it was odd that none of them have relationships, or even any semblance of potential there. Not that I need it in the show, or want it to take time away from the core topic, but it would make the ridiculous juggling act that is their jobs a bit more dramatic or calm, either/or.

Edit: didn't even think about that not so spoiler but could be a spoiler at first all. Hope no one saw it...
/edit

It's kind of both inspiring and makes me think about my own job. I really felt it when
production desk duties were laid out for miyamori in ep.13. After having to do my supervisors job for almost 3 weeks this year, seeing her reaction, I was like YES!

Also, I have never wished for as much ill will to any other anime character as I have to Tarou. On more than one occasion, I thought "if you guys don't strangle him, I will."

It's the best anime about making anime. Maybe even corporate life in general.

Not sure what happened at the end of Death Parade. Did it really happen? Was it her white lie?
Considering how only couples who died at the same instant gets to the place, I see it as you are what your partner see you as, her lie effectively made her evil in his eyes, while she still sees him as the perfect husband.

Either that or she she really did have an affair, which would explain the phone call that lead to their dead

Intrigue is there, but overall I feel the scenes are a little too analytical. The flashbacks, the "twist", everything really

Not only couples. Pretty much everyone who died at the same exact time.

Wut?

Yeaaa, not sure I want to watch death billiards just to watch this one. And I used to play billiards.

But I agree on Shirobako. I like how they are bringing that soul searching element in, especially since it's so easy to forget when going through day to day life...

It's just 23 minutes long. And not really about billards. Also not required to watch Death Parade.
You should really give it a try.

You. I like you. That show at motivated me to get out and start jogging again, something which none of the sports shows managed.

Basically everything is like a pre-planned pattern. The introduction, the game, the scare, the realization, the betrayal, the reveal, everything works, but it's also boring in like how most horror movie loses it's scare factor once you've seen enough of them.

Yaaay!
Glad you like it so far :xf_cool:

Wow that was fast, you guys already did the trade?

So far yeah although it doesn't wow me.
Noticeably better is techno, instrumental and rap.
Sound-not-much-different is Jpop and muh traditional jap instrumental.

How many hours you had on this baby?

Hmm eight or nine hours?
I don't really believe in all this burn-in mumbojumbo.
