You could torrent Chata Collection 1.0 which includes most of her songs from the old ones until 2013. But I believe that's not complete since there are still other songs when she sang for Barbarian on The Groove, Sally etc.
I'm still expecting her to be in Empire Ensemble for more great songs like that one

Interesting. Do units get to change classes or have special abilities? The gameplay on this first level reminds me of Tactics x Project Phoenix concept. Are the battles real-time? The system seems to imply it's turn-based, but enemies can attack you as you move as if it were real-time. I'm not a fan of the characters and character design, but the water-colour-esque art style is pretty cool.

No, yes and kind of.
It is turn based but if you run in front of an enemy unit he can shoot you. Same thing the other way around. So even if it is your turn you still have to watch your steps.

Aiming with your mouse is going to make sniper units pretty OP....

My sides.

Just running directly into enemy fire, tanking those shots and killing the enemy with two.

Yeah you cant introduce that plot device and resolve it all in one episode and have it mean ANYTHING to the viewer. That would have taken 12 episodes of development and growth to matter to us. Like, how in the HELL will they be able to do Angelic Howl? That could be it's own series.

Angelic Howl is by far my favourite route in the series, it gave her story life, and she was the main character and took the stage once her backstory started, to me she was a true Heroine, and Amane's Bad End was 2nd only to Irisu's Bad End. Really hoping the split this into 2 seasons, because it's not going to work well cramming so much into 12 episodes, and that's not including the prologue or Yuuji's own story.

IIRC not in the first game, I'm sure there were higher-tier classes that needed a lower-tier class to level up enough to change it, I don't think it was in VC1. But there are different kinds of weapons, so you can further specialize your troops (like I think, shocktroopers can have either a machine gun or a flamethrower). And yes, there are things like buffs in certain kinds of locations, near specific units, in specific situations etc. Also other way around.

Turn-based, you move one unit at a time in a TPS-like fashion with a limited distance (or more like number of steps) you can walk in a turn, but both your and enemy troops react to things that happen, like automatically attack enemies that are in range and sight.

But it really depends on your preference though, Chata can sing pop, sometimes rap, or maybe denpa.

From C86. This is one of my favorites from the Sally album. Almost sounds like she's singing about bologna instead of paulownia.

The Kancolle OST isn't actually good or diverse, perhaps it will improve in the future but it really is pretty generic and repetitive stuff. Can get a jukebox in game to change up the music from stock I hear but need actual real money to get different songs so noooope.
