2003  was a pretty good year for anime as well

Kinda reminds me of Infinite Ryvius, another excellent series

Yeah there are some classics from '03..... your favorite Planetes!!!!

Of the stuff I've seen:

Great: Full Metal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Big O, Gungrave, Last Exile, Wolf's Rain.

Ok: Gad Guard, Gun Slinger Girl

Crap: Popotan

Hmm looking at this list maybe I should check out Peace Maker Kurogane and Kousetsu Hyaku Monogatari. Has anyone seen Chrono Crusade?

Planetes, was objectively, a 'good' series worthy of one to watch, and one from 2003.

On a personal level, it was a Guilty Crown level of forced crap from 2003. I couldn't take its artificial situations, plastic storytelling, wishy washy character POV (one second it tries to tell you all of a ch's feelings, and the next it goes for the realistic type and lets you 'see' it but not tell you) among other things

  IEMs 4 life!

I'm browsing through the adult section of MangaGamer right now...some of the titles here are beyond amazing xD

Eeyup, Mangagamer has a bunch of weeeeeird games...

@mech Wouldn't say that point to be due to lower build quality but more of the size and form of the 2 items in question. As you said, IEMs tend to get abused more, as such, even a well built pair would wear down pretty fast if not taken care of.

Well, I would say that technically IEMs don't have quite the same build quality as over ears, but it's hard to say.

Does the Macbook Pro have a SATA 3.0 6GBPS connection?

Completely forgot about this last night and nope

So I had a conversation over on another forum about IEMs vs. Headphones... I thought I'd post my concise pro/con list and see if anyone else had anything to add to it:

IEM's typically also have me fit insues with the 'driver' seal in where if you push it in too hard, you create a vacuum that 'pops' the dynamic driver a bit.

Welp. There's your problem. Also, can you check/change the SATA mode to make sure it's in AHCI instead of IDE mode on a Mac?

You mean driver flex? You need to get some better IEMs meng. I'd say pretty much everything over $100 doesn't have driver flex.

I do this all the time with my GR07 BE's. I lower the volume and put on some light music or recordings of nature. I'll let you guys know if I ever wake up strangled. I've lost all feeling in my arm a couple times after sleeping the wrong way... quite terrifying feeling indeed.

Lol, I'd always be afraid of dropping my DAP or yanking the cable out of one of the IEM housings or something similar, so I don't even try to sleep with IEMs in.

What the hell is with anime giving female characters mascott uppa like things now?

What the bloody hell is an uppa?

Im currently debating.. FitEars....or another headphone.... FitEars... Or a better headphone....

Lol. Well considering your location, I'm guessing you're gonna go with... Fitear? XD

So I had a conversation over on another forum about IEMs vs. Headphones... I thought I'd post my concise pro/con list and see if anyone else had anything to add to it:
Pros:

- Isolation: Some IEMs isolate better than earplugs. Because of this, sometimes it's easier to hear micro details if there's any background noise in your envrionment.

- Portability: No over the ear or on-ear headphones will ever be as small and portable as IEMs

- Listen while you sleep? I personally don't do this but if you get IEMs that fit flush into your ear you can theoretically use them to listen to music while sleeping.

Cons:

- Harder to get good tonal balance: It seems a good majority of IEMs on the market have really harsh and painful treble or no treble at all, and bass that's either nonexistent or overbearing. Finding a good balance in between is more difficult than full size headphones and much harder than with speakers for the price.

- Maintenance: You have to clean the earwax off the tips and oil off the bodies every so often. It could also be said these aren't as sanitary and can be somewhat awkward to share with other depending on how much of a germaphobe you are.

- Lower Build Quality?: Some would argue that IEMs are easier to break, whether it be running them over or the cable losing connection somewhere between the connector and the earpiece itself. I mostly believe this, except it's also a matter of how well you treat your gear, and generally IEMs get a bit more abuse than your average over the ear full size headphone

For all these reasons, some people never use IEMs because they don't sound as good or they're afraid they'll break, or people are forced to use them because they listen on the go and can't carry around a set of full size cans, or they are in noisy environments where they won't get the most out of full size cans. In the end, the choice is up to you.

Put this in con: the occlusion effect some IEM have. It's that suction feeling from the trapped air in your canal between the IEM and ear drum will bother some people, usually when used with unvented IEMs. This is still correct to my experience, although some say that CIEM solves this by tentacling next to your eardrum.

Ah right, that's true. Thanks for reminding me.

I review IEM's, I don't actually 'care' or see them as something personal

And thus, since so many exhibit the driver flex, its an issue to bring up. I'm really not interested or personally invested in stuff like that, its just business.

I'll look into AHCI for Mac :/

This blocking my way to lecture? No thanks.

Went out and found a pair of Martin Login Vantage that went from £4000+ down to £1000 instead.

Nice. How's the bass response on them? I've heard that electrostats have nice big soundstage and good detail, but weak bass. BTW, what are all those people doing?

I am not a basshead myself, far from it. But the said speakers have an active sub on each side.

Work In Progress

I still need to do the background. It looks quite plain now and I also need to fix Shinji's shoes and mouth (I think it's a tad wide) and I need to modify Kaworu's hair a bit.

Huuuhh, why is Kaworu so adorable?

Oh interesting! Haven't got the chance to try some of these "stax-speakers" so far.

  Oh deary me....

Letters from Japan are always so colorful ^o^

Gotta love those EMS deliveries! Got a youtube link to a good track on that CD?

Here you go!

My favorite track from the album.
I love this band so much but their CDs are stupidly expensive here. I paid over $50 for this one.

Looks familiar

It's Akane from Psycho-Pass ♥

Man these things look like they need a looot of care :/

Maybe but to me, I made it a bit wavy to make it look like there's wind but his hair is a bit straighter.
On second thoughts, I guess I'm going to leave it like that.

Great Scott!!!
I finally managed to beat the final true super mega end boss monster god in Bravely Default.
The fight lasted for almost an hour!
And what did I get? A fairly confusing ending.
Whatever, I'm not even mad. Really awesome game.

The music was so ******* good!

The dude from Linked Horizon composed all of it so...no surprise it's super epic.

That looks great! The fixes you mention were what I noticed first so it sounds like you're on top of things.
