Given that I'm friends with some of these type of people, the young, roided up, OMG BRO IM FULLY SIC I LIFT 50KG's, VL TURBOS BRO sort of folks, they don't know schit about music/artist and are simply at these events for the sheer sensation of being try hard's and annoying pricks and trying to impress there mates by flexing there biceps every now and then while dancing like chicken schit robots.

Yep, pretty much, it's hilarious how they don't realize everybody is sick of their schiit
That dumb muzza dance gets to me tho, I want to cringe + laugh at the same time, it's so bad
Few of those gym junkies are the nicest + most knowledgeable ppl you'll ever meet though...
But this is getting way off topic hahah

Under the guise of "Mate, we are just fitness enthusiasts here to have a good time"

...

Let's go juicing bro, hit the dynabols and clamp and rave to Avicii then cruise around in VL T's.

Anyone else here from around Sydney?  We ought to get together for a meet.  Last time  I attended a Syndey meet, I was hoping to be able to audition well amped STAXs - but they were never there.  Neverthleless, we had a great time.

Well Melbourne has A2A I think they have a lot  of Stax models to audition

Srs question though, what headphones pair really well with EDM well
Im enjoying HE-500 a fair bit, but always looking for a nicer replacement - it's lacking some air
LCD-2 seems a bit rolled up at top too, so not sure thats a good option either

Yes A2A does but only the current line and in production lineup, enough to get your feet wet to know what the e-stat fuss is all about.

LCD2's = wonderful mids, non sibilant highs, bit too much of a dominant bass but still fun, but lacking treble and sound staging but suits a wide range of genres and not hard to drive at all. Needs a bump or two higher on the volume due to it's laid back sound sig so you can hear more things clearly.

Yep sounds like what I've read about the LCD-2's, have reservations about dem highs
Curious about estats, but they seem like they have a really chill and laidback character, not sure how well they would do with EDM etc.

I enjoy EDM with hifiman he 400's and audeze lcd 2.2

The treble a little rolled off is for me not always a flaw, avoiding listening fatigue for long session and making poor u tubes recordings acceptables

  Nice gotta demo them ASAP
I assume you're referring to the Stax Lambda series?

I own the SR-3,3N,5,Lambda Pro, Gamma Pro, 202, 404 and my 009's are coming in few months time. Need to hunt a O2 Mk1 with original box soon as well. Owned the Omega 1's heard every other Stax except SR-1,2 and Lambda Signatures.

Just received my new Lcd 2.2 bamboo,
When I listen to music I find myself looking for details what is good !!
Great cans !

LCD2 are presented as bass king so I try to find answer to questioning :

I have a lake people g100 it is a solid state amp (very neutral)

It brings at 60 ohms

2053 pa (mw)
11.1 ua (v)
23 ua dbu

Is it enough power ?, I feel less bass slams and quantity than with the he400's

I'm wondering if it would be useful to change the amplification

some advices would be great

I don't know too much about that amp.  I am not sure if that power rating is peak or RMS, and under what load conditions.

Generally, I find most solid state amps drive the LCD2 well up to moderate levels.  If you crank it to say cinema levels and the sound starts to lean out and compress, that is when you need more power.  The LCD2s do need a lot of power, in headphone terms, to get them up beyond moderate levels and still retain dynamics and tone.

If you had to pick just one, which one would you go for ?

For EDM, Metal and rock fm
