THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers) - Page 86

Marva Wright:

The best track of hers that I'm aware of is 'The Sky is Cryin', but Youtube deleted it. If you can find it, it's well worth tracking-down.

Marva was the Real Deal; may she rest in peace!

For me I really like listening to Hayley Mary of The Jezabels, pretty awesome band as a whole if you haven't heard them before, definitely check them out.

Thanks for letting us know about Natalie Lungley!  I agree, they are both very talented.  I listened to a bunch of her stuff and I think I like the Cat Power cover the best.

Lately, Anneke van Giersbergen has been my go-to.

I have to admit, I read that Nightwish is finishing their current tour with Floor Jansen, which sounds pretty intriguing.

I just made an amazing discovery. I was listening to some female voice compilation and found playing one song over and over and over. It's a cover of Sound Of Silence by Rua. Never heard of Rua? An hour ago, neither did I. Now I ordered all their CDs I could find.

This lady (Liz Madden) even responds to some of the YT videos. Love it.
