The line below cracks me up but made my day at the same time.
"Also, the T1's refinement is more like the sound of a set of $10,000 speakers."

Beyerdynamic T1: Mercedes-Benz of headphones...All the best headphones sound like speakers i.e sennheiser hd800 and grado ps1000! p.s I have never heard any of the stax electrostat headphones but if i am right in what i have read they sound like electrostat speakers?

Beyerdynamic should be the BMW of headphones.

Sennheiser should be Mercedes Benz.

Both fine German design and technology.

Beyerdynamic - Audi - Classic looks, but with a touch of style and its own soul. I love Audis and if I could have a car I would be driving an Audi for sure.
Sennhriser - Mercedes - A bit flashy.

Struggling to enjoy these as much when they highlight sibilance so much in most of my music.

You're amping them with the lyr? What kind of tunes are you playing?
I have music from all across the board and 2 amps and I haven't noticed any sibilance.

I've used them from the Lyr and Audio-Gd FUN. Not tried from the Solo SRGII.

I've no idea if these artists are well recorded but stuff I've noticed it on recently are Radiohead, Muse and Rage Against the Machine

I'll put radiohead in the rotation tonight. Any tracks in particular that bug the most?

I remember the Lyr to be very microphonic, but I only had the LCD2s at the time, which being much darker are more forgiving of the amp. It's not a bad amp but I didn't love it. No idea about the Audio-Gd.

Does anyone else go through phases where sometimes the bass just seems lacking? It's happening to me a lot lately and kind of driving me nuts. I know it's most psychoacoustics since it sounds perfect at times.

Put on a pair of HD800s or K701s. They'll fix the T1 bass right up :)

Honestly no, not with the T1s. I let the HD800 go for that reason though, my other can is the LCD2. No shortage of bass there. But I am on T1 honeymoon at the moment, and the LCD2s have been getting no love at all lately.
