We held the meet in two rooms of the Adria Conference Center in Bayside, NY

The inner room had some nice old gear

Someone brought this retro relic of the last millenium, an Orpheus
03orpheus.jpg

Stable and supportive, this gear rack proves that Head-Fi's popular with all age groups, including octogenarians.
04walker.jpg

The outer room was... Hey! Where's the gear?
05roomouter.jpg

Well, The crowd's gathering around the Cary 300sei.

And Jack Woo brought his brand spanking new balanced 22

Looks like twins

But Jack's wondering... Where are all the people?
17wooempty.jpg

Looks like Joelongwood's here, but, uhm... err... That's not his gear. Not enough grados.
12joelongwood.jpg

Here's Jude hanging with Jahn.
11heyjudeandjahn.jpg

And Jude's gear is... Hmmm... Where is Jude's gear?
13judesgearhere.jpg

The sign says... But... but...
14judearrow.jpg

Ugh! This is gonna be one long meet. Need some liquid help.

Wired for analog love.
09analog2.jpg

I've heard tape hiss before, but you just have to hear this one humm like Area 51. Sounds like Aoummmmmmmmmm! Must be Zen time.
08analog1.jpg

Fang makes it official and begins the hour of reflection.
15fangreflecting.jpg

Me and the rest of the loudmouths go out for lunch.
16lunch.jpg

Others take a quiet time for prayer. Please, please, please, send me a Sony 9000 for Christmas.
19zenprayer.jpg

For that which we are about to receive let us be truly thankful.
20zenprayerpair.jpg

Hosanna. I thought they were praying too, but as I got closer I heard something about an eensy weensy spider.
23zenhosana.jpg

Having reflected long enough and consumed large quantities of fudgesicles, the meet starts looking more promising

Cheesecake brownies work just as good magic

Double not-so-blind DAC Showdown. A-b-a-c-a-b
25dacab.jpg

Uhhhh.... Was A the benchmark with the optical cable and the Signal Cable interconnects or the Stello with the coax and black dragons? Or was that B?

All that switching got us hungry, so off we went to the Bayside Diner

Telica has the last of the cheesecake brownies for desset

Wow. That looks like it was an awesome meet. I wish that I would have been able to make it. Damn spring break travel plans.

From the inner room, two CDs were left over without cases. A third was left in the outer room, but I only have the 2.

msg me if you're missing a disc.

Sick meet, insane gear, and wonderful people ... yeah, that's a NY meet.

Looks like a great time, everyone, and I loved seeing the pics by (and of) all my NY friends, Aaron, Steve, Jimmy, Tom, and more I can't recall (forgive me).

Keep the pics and impressions coming.

Yes. We meant to serve you up as the main course, but the Hay Lady wouldn't cooperate.

the meet was both great, and very nice.
concerted efforts were made to have appearances by both the senn and grado, but unfortunately too few examples are currently in existence. by the next ny meet i'd expect both to be present.

It was a fantastic meet !!!!!

Old faces, new people, a great time.......

But now I have a bad case of the Low Fi Blues

Why?

I made the mistake of listening to this

Who's responsible for this Menace?

I Got The Low Fi Blues !!!!

I didn't take a lot of pictures this meet. I actually listened to some gear.... and spent some serious time with SiBurning comparing and evaluating our two DACs, his Benchmark and my Stello, through my GS-1. We used a WAV rip of "John Barley Corn Must Die" we got from Dave the Rave, (who btw, had a great sounding rig). The big surprise was that the two DACs sounded virtually the same to both of us. It was so hard to tell them apart we decided to leave it for a mini meet.

Jude was spotted all around the meet

Hey, great idea! At least you guys were smart enough to remove the tennis balls from the feet of that walker.

Looks like a "good time had by all" type of event, complete with those award winning brownies from the lady in charge of the man in charge. That's what I think I missed the most about not being able to make it to this meet. I really love those brownies!

The gear collection looks quite impressive as well, almost at a National Meet level. I'd imagine it would have been difficult to have listened to everything that you wanted to in just one day.

Hey, didn't this Jude Bob guy star in "The Waltons"? Oh, and happy birthday, Jude Bob.

Insane! So much stunning gear, even a KGBH SE...

You guys/girls over there in NY always seem to have awesome meetings. Envious!
