Mikhail (Singlepower) you win...or maybe you're losing...

Who's even received a properly working/specced out amp in the last 6 months to a year? Anyone?

Seems contrary to your extremely helpful 12 word summary of the situation and what Boilingfrog and many others, including myself, have suffered or are suffering.

Really... thanks!

This guy ...

He's the Brittney Spears of amp builders for sure.

But that's just my casual observer perspective on things.

I'm sure there's better pop comparisons but that's what just popped into my pop consciousness and so I said it.

Boo, Brittney, ... BOOOOO!

I'm going to go with him being the "Syd Barrett of the amp world."

Syd is good.

There are a few other smiles I can think of to better show the true identity of both the person and situation, just not for family rated forums.

Hope nobody buys from Syd (aka-supra buyer) on ebay. His cost should force you to consider but just in case the desire overwhelms you, remember why these threads were started. Supporting our members in their ongoing misery of dealing with this bullsh!t.

Mikhail, you are the Chris Brown of amps! I remember a few years back when you first gained some popularity. Your designs were innovative and your willingness to communicate and fill orders in a timely manner were exemplary.

Whatever happened to you, whatever it was that caused you to begin this deplorable behavior was nothing more than your greed. You will never recover a worthy reputation.

I'm glad last year I sold the amp I purchased from you, but I feel a great deal of empathy for the members here you flat-out cheated. What goes around, comes back around and you will one day reap what you sowed.

There are ways and believe me, he would pay back, but now he is probably spending all that money on a new identity.

Folks who put money on pre orders need to get together in the group and take some legal steps, at least, imo. Longer you wait, less chance you see, or even smell, your money back.

I did call the Denver DA's office. They informed me the addresses I gave them were out of their jurisdiction. They advised I call the Adams County DA or Avapahoe County DA and ask for the Consumer Unit or Economic Crime Unit (they weren't sure which had jurisdiction).

Here are the numbers if anyone wants to pickup the ball;
Adams County DA 303-659-7720
Avapahoe County DA 720-874-8500

I will eventually get to the call, but I can't imagine multiple calls would hurt.

The irony of all the time spent by our membership to warn the world about Singlepower, is when you google "Singlepower Amp", the fourth listing is Mikhail's announcement on Head-Fi of his Extreme Amp (12/8/06). And nowhere on the first page of results - is this thread, or any thread for that matter, alerting the public of his current business practices.

Ironically, 6moons is doing a better job warning the public and fellow Head-fiers, with their red disclaimer in the MPX3 review.

What about Head-fi practicing a little buyer beware by tagging a disclaimer to his posts? He only has 59 posts.

Enough of my rant. Maybe the more people we have calling the DA, the better chance we have of stopping another loss by a fellow enthusiasts.

He wasnt being naive. Although, the DA's office likely is not going to help. But going to the state Attorney General definitely could help. Most state attorneys general are charged with enforcing consumer protection laws. It is far from naive to file a complaint with the AG, as it is often a very cost-effective and efficient alternative to litigation. And, the AG wields considerably more power, resources, and leverage than an out of state litigant.
