HI: How are you? I totally agree with you about the N707. I went through the E-10 and E-909 that coast a lot more money than the N707. I got ride of the E-10 and E-909 and really like the N707. It has a large sound stage and is very clear sounding. It is the MD that I was looking for.

Hi Lou,

I'm good thanks, and yourself?

Yes, the N707 is good... I think eventually that i'll buy another E10, but that'll be purely for how it looks, rather than how it sounds...

No matter what the technology is like, no-one can deny how small, and how cool the E10 looks

HI: I am OK considering things. You make me think of an old girl friend. She was boutique and beautiful but not very dependable and when she opened her mouth is was ahhhhhh. Then I got a girl who was not as nice looking and a bit bigger but was very faithful and when she spoke it was very nice to listen to her. Of course I still went for the good looks and small body and got ride of her. And for the rest of my life have had a lot of girl problems. LOL. Do you get the moral of this story? Just having fun with you. Enjoy what ever you get.

lol Lou, that moralistic story is actually really good...

The analogy rings true... but hey, its good to look, even if its not as good to play

The above I have to agree with. Furthermore with the E10 there's a whistling sound as the drive spins up and down... Which can be intensely annoying if you're listening with closed phones. Sound on the N707 is definitely superior... But the 888 beats them both

However I do want MD for the ultimate portability and I'm not concerned about recording now, so I think I'm happy with the skinny looker

It's $105 flat rate, I believe. Anyway, I'm gettin' it fixed...

Actually the Eggos are easy to drive even without an amp.

I've heard an amp makes the bass of the D66 stronger, but I haven't tried it myself.

I think it might depend on the amp. I have D66 and a porta-META42. The sound quality is much better with a line out and the amp but it does not really improve bass, unless of course I really crank it up, but then my ears bleed.
