Seattle/Eastside meet 5/26

I'm formerly from Seattle, and will be in town that weekend. I may be able to make it, and it would be nice to meet some of you, and to listen to some of this exciting stuff.

My collection of gear - particularly portable enough stuff that I can bring it to a meet in another city! - is small. I do have a Squeezebox 3 that just arrived. Would anyone like to hear and/or see it?

I will, of course, have my Neuros for the trip, if anyone wants to hear a discontinued, off-brand DAP.

I don't see any in the list, but I'm wondering if anybody has or could rustle up a zhaolu of some description.

I ordered a red tomahawk. I'm hoping it will make it for the meet. Cross your fingers

Little Red Update!!!!!
Just made the deal with the devil to have it overnighted tomorrow!!!! It was spendy! Will have it on Thursday! Will have it for Saturday. I have other portable stuff like the pioneer inno satellite radio, a few ipods, total airhead, westone Um1's, px100's, senn noise redux headphones. Have Ksc 75 on the way but I don't think they will be here in time. They have a date with Alex at apuresound to get modded with a new cable with a 75 ohm resistor.

My M-Audio Transit came in today, so I will be including that with the rest of my gear... my laptop has never sounded so good!

Still waiting on the Mylar X3's and hopefully my amp will come soon...!

It is going to be cool to see what new toys come in the next few days for the meet. I will be posting mine when they come in.

I'm getting my laptop set up to drive the Squeezebox. Usually another computer has the music and server software. What fun is the SB if it won't play, though? If I can make it, it will.

Looking forward to meeting y'all, and hearing the lovely sounds. I've been pondering a Millet Hybrid, and I see there will be one there... I've really wanted to hear one. I'm also hoping I don't like the K1000's as much as I fear I might.

If I *really* want to cause trouble, I'll bring my Dad. I'm sure he's a latent audiophile, that all he would need is the right example...

I will be there with the KSC55 Woody. (Finally settled on which foam to use....Now some of you need to try it out and write a real review about the sound).
plus:
120 ohm Senn 555,
modded iGrado,
my beat-up Koss GT5,
and some BKH3/KSC55's (various burn-in process).

I will bring one pair of KSC75 for sale, $12.



Can't wait to see all your high-end gears!

Updated my equipment list, removing the laptop and Bottlehead Foreplay. I need to work on my cassette player as well. For some reason it had some peculiar ground noise last night which is UNACCEPTIBLE! But a few of the older recordings I found sounded amazing, so we'll see. Otherwise I'll be down to an iPod and the Pimeta or Mint. Not what I intended for the meet, but still sounds fabulous. (And, in fact, I got a headphone convert over the weekend with this combination, so that's pretty cool!)

See you guys in three days! This is really going to be fun!

I have a modded Zhaolu 2.0A -> Gilmore Lite -> HD650. I just recently moved to Seattle, and I might be able to make it out.

Looks like everybody is gearing up for the big event. Lots of toys... very little time.

Waiting for parts for a re-wire on the KSC75s.. It hopefully will be here tomorrow for modding. Bought both Mogami and Starquads.. not sure which to use yet.
