Working on it. I have to be able to get them off my head long enough for pictures, but I am working on impressions. I suck at any sort of formal evaluations though. But, the most clear and precise evaluation I can give is: best $300 I have ever spent

Im talking about more detail, better bass, better everything overall... in short, like the Denons but a level up.

Yeah! Which is the can?

Are you detecting any sort of "veil" in the highs, perhaps akin to your HD580?

I ordered them from A.C. Tuesday, and they arrived today

Very nice presentation indeed, with jazz, and this is just from my PC soundcard 1/4", cannot wait till I plug these into the Corda Opera, ETA any day now

Not a lick. I've already arranged to sell my 580's to a friend... I have no need for them anymore

. If anything, I would say the midrange seems very slightly veiled, but that could very well be my imagination. We will see if that changes with a new cable.

So far though, I just absolutely love them. This is the first time I have ever heard a headphone I have preferred over my Grado's... and that is saying something

You're almost set. Just grab a pair of K701s and you'll be following in my footsteps! No these Denons are not veiled, actually rather forward-sounding, but otherwise similar-sounding to the HD650. The Denons are not as airy as the K701s or the ATH AD2000s, but are more full-bodied.

In the lower left hand corner on the "2. Billing & Shipping" page. It's the "Enter Redeem Code" field.

EDIT: The coupon doesn't seem to be working for me...

The coupon doesn't work, and they are aware of it. No more than 5 minutes after I placed my order, I received a refund to paypal for $10, without ever having had to contact them. After they did the credit I emailed them to thank them for taking care of it without having to be asked, and they explained that they knew the code didn't work, and were working on getting it taken care of.

I had the same problem with the code redemtion when I repeatedly tried to order. I went ahead and ordered anyway, and followed up their confirmation "in process" email, with an expectation the coupon for free shipping would be honored.

Khron, replied he would make sure I would be only charged the $289 shipped price as advertised, "Free Shipping"... And so it was

Good luck!

Ugh, is Audiocubes slow as hell for anybody else? I've been trying to place my order for the past couple hours but it takes FOREVER (1-2 minutes per page, and I'm on 3 megabit cable) to load each page. Every time I come back to check to see if the site got faster I'm met with the same disappointment. I'm hesitant to place an order in such conditions

^ well I'm pleasently impressed with the D2000s abilities driven straight from my PC , and also from the Shuffle, due to their efficiency and also due to their punchyness with low end components as well as low power, similar in this respect as were my RS-2s!

BTW, because I do use these while seated at the monitor, I've kept the cable in its original coil, letting out only 3 turns (3ft), then using a velcro tie to maintain the coil. Ergo, No Ratsnest of pityful looking cable!

I am also favorably impressed with their tactile sense of quality, matching their pleasent sonics. And this is in this present componet chain, just dying to recieve the Corda Opera here. But in the mean time, these do serve a purpose which none of my other cans do match, being driven by the P.C. S.C.
